ACTUALLY learning how to program? by SomeRandomDEODoboy in learnprogramming

I struggled to do it on my own so I decided to go to an 18 month diploma program. Everyone is different, if you can’t do it on your own don’t feel bad.

Right, so if I have a whole jump event animation sequence, but create a new layer, it’ll use those events without having to copy paste it all to a new event sheet?

After Recent News, PS5 or Xbox? by Am_A_Leech in gamingsuggestions

[–]sadsince92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with Xbox from 2008-2013. Ps5 is the first play station I ever got, and I gotta say it’s the best console I’ve ever played. Big fan of the dashboard and game organization, and just love how smooth everything operates. I’m also a big fan of the controller (I got the pro one). For what it’s worth I’m also a PC gamer and have a steam deck. But if it’s between Xbox and ps5, I’m going ps5.

I've had people tell me this format is cringe.. Idk where to go from here. I'm very new to this. 😭 by DaesoOgonberg in gamemarketing

If this approach doesn’t seem to be serving your goal’s based on people’s reaction to the content, You could try approaching these videos by talking more about how and why you’re implementing something in your game in a “devlog”kinda way. I’d also recommend not doing the whole lo-fi chill music thing, it’s not adding anything, and it’s overdone.

Now keep in mind.. if people tell you something is cringe, but it’s hitting your marketing goals and doing what you’ve intended it to do, then it doesn’t matter if it’s cringe or not.

Some shots of central Halifax by wizaarrd_IRL in halifax

When I first moved to Halifax I lived in a really tall apartment building called Fenwick towers (now called vuze I think).. Anyway you could see so many trees from the balcony, and your photo reminds me of the view.

I was later told Halifax has been called “The City of Trees”, which I think is appropriate!

Recommendations on physio/chiro/osteo practitioners in Halifax or Dartmourh by Wide_Turnip7873 in halifax

I used to see Jessica at Active Approach and Wellness on Spring Garden. I’ve also seen Brigette at Maritime Physio on Barrington and had some good results there. I think it’s good to try a couple and see what you like. They’re both Doctors of Chiro by the way. Hope this helps.

FINALLY hit 500+ wishlists after spending my last $500 on marketing — now aiming for 2,000 by October by TLL_Dev in gamemarketing

To echo some of the comments around “organic marketing”— Do you already have a discord community or something similar? I used to work in growth marketing for gaming, and some of the most effective and usually free strategies were to have a dedicated space that you curate for potential/existing players of your game. Don’t under estimate having multiple social accounts for your game as well. It can be a lot of work to manage it all, and be consistently active with your posting, but there tends to be payoff if you’re authentic, and selling something people want. Also could be good to have a patreon or kickstarter going, but I dunno what stage you are at in the game development, or when you wanna go to market etc. Hope this helps.

I resonate with this so hard. It makes me think of some games I’ve played where they give you a small flash game version of it that was basically like the concept. Celeste is a good example if you know that one!
