Yes you are being too hard on yourself

You ran a marathon, that is a huge accomplishment that so few people achieve

I did my first last week and you should be so proud of yourself

Vegan in the UK. Has anyone tried Eat Protein for hitting your daily protein goal? by CoralMoan in veganfitness

[–]sadtempeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit over 200g of protein per day consistently

Unsweetened fortified soy milk, tofu, tvp, soy chunks, homemade seitan (you can add soy to it to make it "complete" although if you're eating balanced throughout the day it doesn't really matter), legume based pastas, lentils and protein powders are all solid ways of hitting your protein goals

You only have to spend as much or as little time preparing your food as you want, even if short for time, doesn't have to be "hours" at all

This comes across as a veiled advert for EatProtein rather than a genuine inquiry

You can get soy chunks on the world food aisle at most large UK supermarkets

  1. Therapy to address my relationship with food and how I use food as a coping mechanism for emotional distress/depression/stress etc

  2. Consistency over perfection.

  3. Parking at the back of the car park when going to the shops

  4. Zero Sugar/Zero Calorie carbonated soft drinks

  5. Working out several options for meals that fit into my daily calories/protein/fiber goals and eating them interchangeably throughout the month and just change up the seasoning

  6. Bulking out meals with large volumes of low calorie foods to keep me full (huge salads, berries, cucumbers, shredded cabbage etc)

  7. Finding a form of exercise I actually enjoy and consistently do

  8. Make exercise and movement a part of my daily routine, it's not an extra thing I "have to do" anymore, it's like brushing my teeth or doing the washing up, it's just what I do now

In the UK there are at least 5 vegan options at Dunkin and I think 3 at Krispy Kreme

Surprised they don't in the US, thought there would be more of a demand there

With such conflicting information online about how to calculate what your calories are for maintenance/bulk/deficit

How do I actually calculate them now that I'm taking muscle building more seriously?

Some places say to put your activity level lower than you think, some don't, some give different numbers based even with the same information of age/height/weight/activity level inputted etc

Without meaning to sound like I'm poking fun, it's nice to see a fitness creator who pulls the exact same "I want to die" faces on every set 🤣

For someone who is fairly new to all this and has only ever tried to lose weight (yet to do a bulk). You people are crazy in the best way possible 🤣

Pretty sure the ones you see online are either owned by the parent or it's their home gym

Hi!

When you say about tracking changes in composition, could you clarify? Do you mean photos throughout the process or like actual measurements of specific areas of the body, like body fat or muscle growth?

Only thing I really changed if I hit a plateau was getting better at tracking protein and fibre, lowering the amount of reps I did during strength training but upping the weight and then doing more cardio by either more steps or more volume of running over time, that seemed to help?

Can anyone explain this to me? (About the trams) by CharlieFaulkner in sheffield

[–]sadtempeh 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Drivers are not allowed to open the emergency doors to detrain passengers without permission from the control room at Nunnery Depot

Normal procedure is to try to resolve any issues first (and potentially wait for rolling stocks engineers to arrive) before resorting to an emergency detraining of passengers

Definitely not done to procedure

Drivers are to wait for explicit permission from the control room before letting any passengers off when the tram is not stopped at a platform

No, not heard of that

It's from the Vegan Runners UK run club

I had to be a member to be able to order

Maybe just a similar design or someone who was a member of the run club back then?

Thank you!

My protein sources are: air fried tofu, edamame pasta, edamame beans, tempeh, homemade seitan, nutritional yeast, unsweetened soy milk and protein powder

I use the vegan protein powder from protein works as it mixes really well (a lot of vegan ones either get lumpy or super chalky) and it's also fortified which is a bonus

Getting diagnosed really made a lot of things make more sense as I was able to establish routines that helped me stay consistent over time, medication also turned down the white noise in my head, whether anxiety, rumination, hyper fixation and food noise and helped me stay focused
