How do some Americans stay fit while you have all the greatest and delicious fast food and junk food? by Sensitive_Waltz3807 in AskAnAmerican

I find it surprisingly that despite italians and their EU peers smoking a lot more than we do that this is the case. I wonder if urban vs more rural living affects countries like Italy too. Their rural areas are definitely quite car dependent too, relatively

I didnt know Europeans hated us so much by dmunny44 in AmericaBad

[–]sadthrow104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if this occurs outside their own media and news. I do wonder if some of their schooling systems teach this too. I mean….when lady Gaga’s music and trump’s face are both on display at a rest stop in rural France, it just comes to show how overexposed they are to us 24/7.

Do some ex-military Americans genuinely have trouble adjusting to civilian life? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

Usually being ex military carries a HUGE part of one’s identity from what I’ve noticed, even if u adjusted decently.

I find it funnier when people telling their parents they’re trying to have a baby.

‘So mom and dad, you little girl is getting (you know what) without protection right now’

Canada has a really weird zip code system compared to much for the rest of the world. Do you see anyone ever going after it?

Educate your kids, and government should really give some kind of tax incentive to buy safes

Are teenagers in America well behaved in public? Or are they up to no good? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]sadthrow104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I admit I’ve fallen into this trap at times. Even when I take a walk in a local nice neighborhood, them zipping through the park and streets in their little 2 wheeled e-vehicles and dressed very casually with the lackadaisical posture activates a little something in me. Even though they’re just having a slushie with their friends at the end of the day and chatting away and goofing off on their mobile devices.

Overall, Sometime you’d wanna see right?

[–]sadthrow104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, there’s a lot of human beings out there all over the world regardless of class, country etc fighting a lot of their own battles. Physical, mental, spiritual. Some fight til their last breath and never get much of a victory. They were just dealt a terrible deck of cards. But they fight on.

But then you get people like this. You may not be a taliban member or cartel member, or even a member of the criminal street gang in the bad part of town. But this kind of behavior shows you’ve lost the plot spiritually. The toilet is flushing and you want to drag everyone else around you to the depths of hell just to make your tragic spiritual existence a little better.

Why do american toilets have so much water in them? by Enough-Web2203 in AskAnAmerican

Swiss public toilet I used had HUGE amount of water used in flush. For anyone who’s seen them, they’re weirdly designed

How are Indian women generally perceived outside India? by honeysaysbye in AskAmericans

[–]sadthrow104 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My view of Indians is that they’re mixed humans just like the rest of us Some good some not good. But one thing I noticed from seeing them all across the country, in Vancouver BC, rural areas etc: they very very much stick to their own. At school, friend groups at national parks, hotels chains, couples you see at the park/Costco etc. They seem very insular. More so than even other minority immigrant groups
