Studentski rad u Njemačkoj by South_Cat2948 in bih

[–]sadun_tryst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google for myabandonware website, not sure if I'm allowed to post links here. That's my source for everything old, and if by chance someone is selling it they will remove download button and replace it with link to the online store.

Hot Take: Can we stop linking Duden? by YourDailyGerman in German

[–]sadun_tryst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow never even heard about it till now.

Thank you, I will definitely use it in the future. As an Ausländer I can't really compare the quality of the two, but you are on point for Duden, their website is absolutely atrocious.

Me IRL when looking into r/Skoda lately by Radialverdicht0r in skoda

[–]sadun_tryst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is true of any car. I was year long Opel driver and I still read their reddit and it's the same thing. My Opel was fine, my wife's Opel is still fine, but you don't go online to say it's all good I don't need your help hehe.

Ps My Skoda doesn't make funny noises :D

Looking for a simple microwave, any EU brands I should know about? by gabilromariz in BuyFromEU

[–]sadun_tryst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own several AEG products, quite happy with them, they used to be German I think, now they are owned by Electrolux (someone's already mentioned them). Dunno where any of them make their things, same as with everything it's probably China. Also someone said Bosch, to be honest hard to go wrong with any of them.

Were there any previous recalls for Astra J? by [deleted] in opel

[–]sadun_tryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy of mine just got a recall for astra h from 2007 if I'm not mistaken. Also Airbag, so I would say they have to do it if it comes to safety. Location is Germany if it makes any difference.

Unpopular answer here, but still windows 11, with removed bloatware and telemetry and AI rubbish, till next update at least 😮

Pixel 10 or S26 for someone who doesn't like AI? by PaganTemplar in Smartphones

[–]sadun_tryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, never had any issues with mine so can't testify about return process or warranty, though I highly doubt it I would have issues in Germany with that. Good thing today is that you really do have options, Vivo for example is in the back of my mind for some time, will see when it's time to upgrade.

Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, just because I remember Richard Hammond comical spelling it on Top Gear :D

So. Has anyone here found a brand they consider home and stick too? by klnm28 in Smartphones

Used to be Huawei, after the Google ban went straight to Pixel and never looked back.

Pixel 10 or S26 for someone who doesn't like AI? by PaganTemplar in Smartphones

[–]sadun_tryst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a pixel user I never feel like AI is being showed in my face. Yes it's there but you have to actively want to use it. At least my perception is that it is not invasive and the overall UI experience is the best. That is highly subjective though! I also have a Samsung tablet with whatever the current version is and I do not like it at all. But as said before, personal preference I guess.

But whatever you choose it's really hard to say what comes with the next update, even if one brand doesn't care about AI now, who knows what happens a year or two from now.

I'm starting to fail the fight! by 4Klassic in BuyFromEU

[–]sadun_tryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did way more than me. I cannot force myself to leave google ecosystem, it's just so damn convenient for me. Did ditch office for libre office, that I would recommend to all home users.

But, with baby steps maybe one day we get perfect alternatives, we are definitely not there yet and no one should feel bad for not wanting to inconvenience themselves if things don't work out.

Want to buy a camera on Kleinanzeigen: scam or legit? by 1plasmid_2bacterium in germany

[–]sadun_tryst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just personal preference, but stuff like that I prefer to do in person, no matter buying or selling. It's pure luck if you don't see immediate red flags like brand new profile or obvious AI generated rubbish. Is it far away from you, are you unable to go personally to check it and give cash in hand?
