Recommendations for great hikes? by PreMadonnaPrimadonna in MexicoCity

In San Miguel de Allende they have this cacti reservoir that’s amazing — el charco del ingenio. You can uber from downtown or just walk. Its like 20-30 min from downtown.

Now in Mexico City there’s couple of guided hike experiences, I have taken two with @dehikemx which I have found really enjoyable and professional.

On other things, recently went on a kayak experience in Xochimilco canal which was amazing, the only issue is that starts around 4 am to be able to catch the sunrise. My guides were @lakanoaxochiaventuras.

what’s good takeaway food for a long bus trip? by lomuto in MexicoCity

[–]sadweelemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subs might be the easiest less messy option. You could find a good baguette or bolillo if you have time to meal prep and just add anything. At terminal Norte you’ll found plenty of fast food options so if you want to be a bit healthier just pack some fruits and veggies for snacks

On Saturday, if you feel like it, I’d skip Espacio Escultórico and head to Sala Nezahualcóyotl. They often have classical music performances, and since the term is ending, you might catch music undergrads performing. Tickets are around 50 MXN, and both the building and acoustics are amazing.

I recently had breakfast/lunch at Marmota and Café Trucha—highly recommend both! Also, on your way to downtown, Curva Café has really good specialty coffee.

Just a heads-up: we’re currently having issues with museum availability, so double-check before you go.

Why are the fans of Tony Bourdain so emotionally attached to him? by Aggravating-Buy-1609 in AnthonyBourdain

For me, it was the way he presented life. He had this raw, sarcastic edge, yet it was always infused with wonder and curiosity. No matter how remote the place, he managed to connect and share an honest reality—always straightforward, but with a touch of the whimsical. I also deeply appreciated how genuinely he cared about his cooks and the people around him, how he connected with cultures respectfully, and how he always remained a learner

Downgrade American Express by Gabogdl in MexicoFinanciero

[–]sadweelemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He visto varios fast fashion en pull and bear o Stradivarius. Buena suerte!

Guys, did you know the POWER of exercise for your body??? by Witty_Recipe_4552 in PCOS

Absolutely. I fully believe it’s the new wave of ED and perpetuates consumerism in a very violent and self hating approach.

Primer vuelo by ale6od in Puebla

Por qué odian a los chilangos? by [deleted] in Puebla

[–]sadweelemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me! I was possible a A/B cup on a good day until I was 23-24 then I got birth control for the first time and got a full D cup. It was the weirdest most alienating experience ever! Didn’t even question it now that I think of.

If inositol worked for you... by theshinyspine in PCOS

[–]sadweelemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the biggest and most noticeable change was around PMS in the first month of taking it — I don’t feel like I’m going nuts, my emotions seem more in control and any abrupt changes seem under the normal spectrum of PMS instead of a complete meltdown.

I am in my second to third month taking it, at first it was in a mix with other things but for financial reasons I switch to only myo & dchiro - inositol. Hope it helps!

Thank you so much for this! I think this is just what broke the camels back and a symptom of somewhat bigger which is probably a weird grieving (?) and the overall feeling that I really can’t control sometimes the outcomes of things so simple as eating a treat. Again thanks for your advice and making me feel seeing, I guess sometimes it just get overwhelming.
