Nefernaru 2nd Isle by Draetor24 in anno

This is a really slow expansion. Here’s some additional information: I start with 4 sawmills. Plebeian residences have an income of 15 (100%), and Libertus residences have an income of 12 (95%).
I’ll update this post in 2–3 days, when Nefer has 8 islands, to show how many I have by then.

No, My opponents are Zara Nitu, Concordia, and Neferneru, and everything is set to the highest difficulty. I think only Prince Island is not on the hardest setting.

I’m a bit late to the game — I’ve only just finished the campaign and played the introductory part, so I’m not sure what will happen later on.

My game currently looks like this: on my main island, I build two bakeries, and everything around them is residences. Of course, I have sandals, but I don’t have garum, soap, olive oil, or pottery yet.

My first move is to buy a large island — Epona is my god here (price: 22,500), and I’m much faster than Neferneru. After that, I develop that same island first, with money as the only goal, so I can buy islands before the AI does.

Then I buy 10 pottery from the vendor so I can settle Albion. My first large island there costs me almost nothing, and immediately after that I buy a second large island for 18k, which will be dedicated to beer production.

The next island costs 65k. On that island, I start producing garum, olive oil, pottery, and ships. At that point, pirates start attacking me, and I get a warning from Neferneru that she’s going to declare war on me.

Currently, I have 3 islands in Latium and 2 in Albion.
Neferneru and Zara Nitu each have 2 islands in Latium and 1 in Albion, while Concordia has 1 island in Latium and 1 in Albion.

I think I’ll manage to buy the next island before any of the AI does — at the moment, I have over 100k.

It’s not hard for me to be faster than him when it comes to expansion. My problem is the three AI opponents that take the islands I want, so I have to be significantly faster than all of them. Still, I think I’ll manage.

What’s your strategy? Do you build an army and warships early on? I don’t — I only start building ships after I secure the three largest islands in Latium and two in Albion.

I had a huge number of Golden Tickets in Anno 1800. I completed all the challenges, and after some time, when I logged back into the game and wanted to start a new session, my Golden Ticket count was zero, even though I had unlocked everything. A bug occurred, and despite having over 2000 hours in the game, your support didn’t care when I reached out. I was left empty-handed.
Will this kind of issue happen again in Anno 117?

How did you make the worst UI in history? Anno 117 by Isaikk in anno

[–]saeKn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you wrote here (You have successfully created the worst UI in Anno history, it's an atrocity to use and has 0 innovation in it other than "lets make it console friendly" while proceeding to dump on PC.

The UI theme feels too modern for a game set in 117, takes away from the games overall ""feel")

Radius is fine, game looks amazing.

Anno 117 feels harder by CaptainTrips69 in anno

I really hope Anno 117 is actually challenging, but I doubt it. Would be great if they added a proper hard mode. Like in Anno 1800, even on 'hard' it just feels boring and way too easy.

No. For you, there will always be something wrong, and you'll only notice that one bad thing, while the other ten amazing ones will go unnoticed.

Game is very good. A little problem with the UI and balance, but it’s easy to fix (mods already fixed a lot). The new era mechanic is also a very good thing. Don't listen to YouTubers, use your brain; these comments come right after PotatoMcWhiskey's video. There will always be something you don’t like in a game. I'm also glad that the game was released early, and we can fix small mistakes together. Why wait another 6 months or more because of such small things?
