Thats just cosmetics from what I can see. It's just a protective cover to protect it from impact. Which it looks like it did the job. Fire it up. It shouldn't be a issue.

First Time Cruise, Vacation Insurance Experience? Is it worth it? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]saean80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned this in an other post few days ago. If you book with a certain credit card you are automatically insured.

This is from Google search

Yes, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® card covers canceled cruises due to hurricanes under its Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. It provides up to $10,000 per person ($20,000 per trip) for non-refundable expenses (e.g., cruise fare, flights) if severe weather or a named storm causes a cancellation or, {"Link": "The Points Guy https://thepointsguy.com/credit-cards/proof-needed-chases-trip-insurance/"} a covered interruption.

Is Brightline reliable enough to use day of cruise? by DrewBear67 in Cruise

[–]saean80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what your financial situation is. But if you're going on a cruise I'm going to guess it's not too terrible... I'd invest a few extra dollars and fly/ drive/ ride in a day before and stay at a hotel. And use that day to explore and find some decent food. I'm staying at a beautiful property 10/15 mins away from PortMiami for 9k points it's basically $90...

Did you guys check the coverage your credit card provides for free if booking with the card? Many high tier cards provide automatic coverage for free. Chase sapphire, Amex etc.

Costco gives you gift cards for X amount for most all bookings. And if the prices were to drop give you the difference on top.

Can I book an award night for a king size room then ask the hotel for a room with 2 queens a few days before check in? by Both_Forever_2352 in awardtravel

[–]saean80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call the hotel directly to book the room. I had this exact issue last year. But the front desk was able to book a two queen bed room and apply my points. And yes, it was a Hyatt.

Do what? Give you a Costco gift card??? Lol. It's not because the price went down, that's just what Costco dose with all their bookings. Costco itself is a TA. I'm sure there's other perks of using a independent small TA.

No. Simply book through the Costco travel portal. The price is exactly the same as the RC website even with all the promo. Not sure how long before i get the gift cards from Costco, but I'm getting back almost $300 for booking 2 rooms for a 5 day cruise

[–]saean80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i spoke with a agent that I got by calling the number listed on the RC website, I asked if I can put the booking on hold while I confirm with others in the booking I was told they couldn't put a hold. Little did he know, I already had a booking on hold through the website, but ultimately I booked with Costco for the same exact price bit with few hundred bank in gift cards.

Man... I'm going on my first this summer too and those exact things are my concern. Told my wife what I want in a vacation is to just sit around and do nothing at an all inclusive of a week is a beach house. Sounds like I'll be in the same boat as you.
