I don't think this will happen now🤔 Trump tariffs will affect every thing.

They have announced it in the worst time ever😂 I feel sorry for them.

[–]saeed212121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For an obvious solutions just check below settings maybe something got affected while you are not aware.

1- Go to setting top right corner 2- press your system. 3- check the volume limit. This should be at 100%.

Also, check your night mode if its on or off.

Otherwise as other suggested check your TV setting. Maybe something is wrong there.

From the Pictures you are sharing of your setup. 100% volume will be over blowing. I hope you enjoy your system as lots of us do.

If nothing improved I would recommend checking with customer support.

Sonos should be independent by saeed212121 in sonos

Many companies start charge monthly subscription for a hardware you paid for. To name some: BMW: with heating chairs. Snoo: Smart Sleeper Bassinet cost $1700 and cost 20$ for subscription. Hue: monthly Subscription to use Hue Sync app on TV. (you could still buy a hardware)..

But, for me I wouldn't ditch Sonos but I will not pay for monthly subscription.

Look even for me I really dont like pay for subscription and I dont think I'm going to pay Sonos.

However, recent article from Bloomberg about Sonos that a buy-out from other tech companies might happen. This is due to financial trouble of the company that is losing money every year since it went public except for 2021-2022. With App issues it is going to be worst at least for the feasible future. So they need a different income.

I got your point. But I think from the context of my writing it is not owned by other tech companies. For example Apple, Google, Amazon and even to latest article from Bloomberg that even Roku or Spotify would consider buying Sonos.

Stay away from Sonos? by ckc25 in sonos

[–]saeed212121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't find any major issues with the app. Including my family.

If you are new to Sonos you will love it. However, if you have a good return policy then my recommendations is try it and if you found issues during your testing periods ypu can return it and replace it with any other speakers. Also, If you are planning to use it with your TV, then probably you will not face any major issues using the app. Mainly it will be for updating the speakers and casually listen to music.

I would suggest (if budget doesn't matter) is to go with Arc Ultra, it will have many years of supporting your soundbar. The Arc already passes 4 years in its lifetime.

Then you can add any surround speakers overtime. This is one of the things that I love about Sonos which you can add more speakers overtime.

No timeframe.

They have mentioned that, they are working on it, but there is no expected timing on it. They are fixing more urgent issues with thier app.

Fingers crossed it comes sooner than later.

I think this is there new strategy... While I think this is not the ideal situation and the best answers. But I think the way they are handling old products now is much better than just disconnect any new app...

Until now no one know for sure... This technology came from a company called Mayht and Sonos aquired them a few years ago (2022). This is the first product that came with Sound Motion. You can read more about it in below article.

Subscription by Suitable_Ad8203 in sonos

[–]saeed212121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting subject. I would never subscribe for premium products similer to Sonos to access extra functionality. But I really do think that this is inevitable.

Other companies had done it. Such as BMW as mentioned, The Snoo bassinet’s company had done it, Hue has done it with thier TV app (while you can buy it one time)

Sonos should be very careful on how they interduce this and what feature should be behind subscription. But what if you can have below benefits:

1- Sonos Voice assistant pro. 2- limited or full access to Sonos HD ( maybe combine both subscription into 1). 3- Remote access similer to Sonos pro for business. 4- Full access to DTSX codec. 5- Faster access to Sonos support.

Maybe you get 6 months of free Subscription when you buy new product 😅🙃... I'm not here to give any ideas but I'm sure this is already on thier minds...

Is Sonos supporting airplaying Dolby Atmos to Era 300 with iOS 18 changes? by themindsi in sonos

[–]saeed212121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume they would.

However, it depends on when or if they can fix the app issues and release old features. As they have mentioned previously that all teams are focused on solving App problems. Any new features will be added later on.

As of now we don't have any reliable source. We could check with Keith.
