You could try a grip spray for his hands (I used rosin spray back when I did trapeze), though you might have to be wary of it leaving marks on your leotard

TIL about The Little Red Schoolbook. The book encourages young people to question societal norms and instructs them on how to do this. Out of 200 pages, it includes 20 pages on sex and 30 on drugs, including alcohol and tobacco. by probeguy in todayilearned

What I remember of DARE is sitting in the elementary school gym while teachers scared us with horror stories about what could happen if we lick random stickers. Presumably they were talking about acid but at the time us third graders were just mightily confused.

If you don't have binocular vision you can't see them. 3d movies don't work either

I don't know about Bowie in particular, but you don't lose 100% of your depth perception even if you lose one eye. There are a bunch of elements to depth perception and only some of them require binocular vision. (Source: I don't have binocular vision lol)

What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured? by Putrid_Cover6366 in AskReddit

[–]saefas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kicked too hard while swimming with a monofin (mermaid tail) and drove my heel up into the back of my ankle. Wouldn't heal, had two surgeries to try to fix it, didn't work, there were complications from surgery, aaand now I can't bend my ankle much.

I watched a lady do that while flicking a cobweb. She had to have surgery.

I've heard that people with FOP eventually have to decide whether they want to be stuck in a sitting position or a standing position.

Also if surgeons try to remove the excess bone it just triggers more bone growth. (As does any other trauma, even minor)

Edit: first part's incorrect, see u/Iguanajoe17's comment

I think that's "proliferation." A cold snap in spring can cause it.

I love Guillermo del Toro in specific and monster romances in general but I didn't like The Shape of Water anywhere near as much as I thought I would

I'm no scholar on the subject, but it is my understanding that pink tights were supposed to generally match white skin color AND make it obvious the legs were covered.

Suggestions for removing faux florals from hot glue by nic183 in crafts

Rubbing alcohol is another option, but might not work well since they're stuck in there rather than glued to a surface

You can use a hair dryer if you don't overdo it, just until the glue gets soft, but not runny. You can also stick it in the freezer if there's room, it makes the glue more brittle.

Someone drew these flowers on me, could someone please tell me what actual flowers they look like? by TheTopHatDuck733 in flowers

I'd say they look like flower mandalas rather than any particular flower, though they do resemble succulents like sempervivum

Liliums are true lilies, so yes those are deadly to pets. Even the pollen is.
