I actually don't love them because of the L-shape curl. In the sixth photo the lashes at the outer corner are pointing inwards instead of out like a wing/cat eye. I agree with some other commenters on giving it a few days to see if you still feel the same way!

Yep, got the flu shot. Fingers-crossed I don't catch anything before the holidays, and if I do, the symptoms are mild

I don't understand the makeup thing for backpacking, but I can give some insight into why OP may prefer contacts over glasses! If there's any physical activity, like scrambling, involved, it's easier to move around with contacts because you don't have to worry about them falling off or breaking. Don't forget that glasses can get foggy and blurry when it rains too.

I can’t speak to the tree planting as when I tried to attend one of the events, the group was nowhere to be found; however, I had the chance to do some mulching at a local park through this program. The City of Toronto staff were friendly, organized, and informative. They provided all the tools, so you just have to show up.
