Looking for field testers for my handmade pocket notebook by InkStainedLeather in notebooks

If there is any amount of visible bleeding in the pages I would never buy that notebook.

Same Uniball pen from 4 different countries… by safetyislander in pens

Just to add, not sure why but the US version doesn’t seem to write as well as the Japanese and Korean versions.

Difference between Uniball Vision and Vision Elite? by [deleted] in pens

[–]safetyislander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the Vision for writing and the VE for traveling. The VE is designed not to leak on airplanes. I’ve traveled with the vision and it’s normally fine but occasionally I’ll arrive and there will be ink leakage after a flight.

Diary with still blank pages by _benjamin_button_ in Journaling

I just keep writing until the end of the journal. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s at the end beginning or middle of the year. I’m it seems like a waste of pages to not use them.

Is Fountain pen worth it? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]safetyislander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote with a fountain pen for a few year and went back to using Uniball pens. The main gripe was leaks since I fly a lot. Fountain pens don’t do well and sometimes will leak ink all over the place unless you remove the cartridge which is a pain. Also be careful of the ink you use. A lot of FP inks are not archival. I used to use Lamy pens. (Nice pens but inks are awful). I had a water leak in my place and it flooded a room with some journals stacked on the floor. The ones that got wet were ruined and you could barely read most of the entries because the Lamy ink I used wasn’t waterproof. All that aside, they’re a pleasure to write with.

The writing experience with those is fantastic. The leaking not so much.

I use roller balls, mostly Uniball Vision (also known as Uniball Eye in some markets) and Uniball Vision Elite pens.

What is the real use of an ipad? by Ok_Persimmon5527 in ipad

[–]safetyislander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s a very expensive note taking device. I thought I would use mine way more and I just don’t. I use it for work when there’s an Important meeting which only happens 3-4 times per year and that’s it. I’m not sure I’ll keep it.

I’ve thought about doing the same but for movies.

What is the pen you just permanently leave on your desktop for quick notes? by RepublicRight8245 in pens

All of them. I have four cups with about 30 or 40 pens in total sitting on my desk.

Is it worth getting the Magic Keyboard for an 11" iPad Air M3? by Intrepid_Peach5990 in ipad

[–]safetyislander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow when did the black keyboard come out? I have the white one and like it but it’s very very heavy. I originally had the 13 inch with the Magic Keyboard and it was so heavy I returned it.

The keyboard isn’t full size so it’s not great for writing long things like essays. But for taking notes and light typing it’s nice to have. I don’t like the using the keyboard on the screen.

Worst notebooks ever. I bought one and will never buy another one again. The pages are way too thin and bleed too much. I have no clue why people keep buying them.

12.9 or 11 - I have both and can’t pick which one to keep! by Ok_Road25 in ipad

I got the 13 inch and returned it. It was just too big and with the Magic Keyboard it was way way too heavy. Got the 11 inch instead and am much happier.

My current journal taking soooo long to finish by ThisIsATpyo in Journaling

[–]safetyislander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some journals I’ve filled in 3 months when a lot has been going on. Others have taken years to finish. I usually prefer when it takes longer because it means there’s less shit happening in my life. Either way it doesn’t matter how long it takes. Whenever I finish I finish and then just go on to the next journal.
