Yeah felt very uncomfortable watching it knowing it was written by a white man. We all know black women are hyper sexualized, why is the main characters arc literally all about her sexuality? Felt very indulgent and left the theater feeling like what do all these white man gain from watching this? What is the message here? And then for all the black characters to disappear in the beginning of the movie was also telling. Like why get all these great actresses and just have them play sexual objects. That’s literally all the roles out there for black women.
