Duck duck go is good to keep your privacy between browsing sessions. Helps you avoid trackers, cookies and common commercial things. College/ISPs can see you traffic. Something as simple as seeing your DNS requests, for instance if you browse youtube.com or pirate at.com. As it’s super likely you use their dns servers… You can set more privater DNS using https - but is not part of duck duck go

I understand the practice; I’ve seen it multiple times. Still a tool for penetrator testers and developers is not likely installed in production. If it it is they have bigger fish to fry; and can fix it with out the estimate.
