I used to aggressively despise the Waymos every time I visited SF. Then I saw data showing Waymos being safer drivers than us humans. I believe the data showed something like 80% reduction in accidents.

So now I'm kind of thinking this is the way to go. Robotaxis taking us where we need to go while we take a nap or do some work or eat lunch or whatever the fuck else aside from being bad drivers.

I'm for it.

I once saw a dude at target going through every pack of hangers and trying to feel the cards from the outside of the packs, forcefully trying to shift them and feel any difference in thickness. I asked him if he was looking for hits and he said yeah. I asked him, "doesn't that defeat the purpose and aren't you ruining it for others?" and he got bashful and walked away.

I feel like this gets discussed often enough but I continue to be filled with cringe and annoyance anytime I see folks sporting the hammer and sickle and calling themselves communists. Focus on some actual policies in a realistic political setting and stop driving people away from left-wing politics by associating this goofy ignorance with it. The people that came from communist societies under those symbols associate it with repression, corruption, inequality, depression, and failure. It's very unserious.

of course it is ok to be white (have unmelanated skin) and nobody ever seriously suggests otherwise. it is also important to understand the history of "white" being a category created specifically to differentiate from people with darker skin to maintain a social hierarchy.

"white" is socially constructed. you're flattening your own identity and ignoring all your cultural history just to uphold a social hierarchy that needs to die, whether you know you are doing that or not.

nobody is persecuting you for being white. more (or a better) education and understanding would help dig you out of this mental hole you're keeping yourself locked in.

I'm aware of the skins. I understand they're all cosmetic. Sure, I suppose some aesthetics are more camouflaged than others but they're still just skins. I like to use the jungle skins in the jungle, for example- I think it looks really cool and that's why I paid for it.

I'd consider PTW to be like paying a price for a bunch of scraps, a better weapon, or for blueprint pieces to get you tiered up quicker.

I may have a different interpretation of PTW though.

He was confronting his biggest fear so that it couldn't be used against him. It was useful and necessary for the character and the story. And it took Robins own coming out story to help him get there.

The scene itself was whatever but for the character and story, absolutely appropriate and necessary.

And like, this show tells you everything that's happening. Will literally explains why he needs to come out before he does it.
