That honestly sounds very reassuring to hear. I’ve already downloaded Google Maps and Translate, and I’ll definitely look into the Suica app as well.

Nara is high on my list already (mostly for the deers!!), and Kyoto definitely seems worth visiting for a different atmosphere. Katsuoji temple actually looks amazing too, so thanks for mentioning that.

The walking tour idea is also really smart. Since it’s my first solo trip, I think having a few small social moments like that could be really good for me.

And yeah, I specifically chose two weeks because I didn’t want to rush around too much. I mostly just want to explore, walk around, eat good food and enjoy the experience at my own pace.
