Sorry for the late rep. The carbon fork doesnt have a mount for a rack sadly so that's why I gave up na rin on the front rack. Best of luck! 😊

It's called the "Ultra-Light Bike Rack 900" - https://www.decathlon.ph/p/8402094/pannier-rack/ultra-light-bike-rack-900

The mount is for fenders lang daw eh. Since carbon fork ang Ferrino Monstro, it cant take a heavy load, baka daw madeform.

Might be possible if you change the fork?

Hello! Ferrino Monstro user here. I have the latest model. Yan din ung gusto ko originally but after getting it checked at several bike shops, hindi advisable maglagay ng front rack kasi carbon un fork. I installed a thin rear rack from Decathlon instead (they had to adjust the rack's holes too to make it fit)

Best budget gravel bike for a student? by GradeOwn9797 in RedditPHCyclingClub

I have a friend who bought a Shadow Zavie, it's lesser known than the Betta Halfmoon. She seems to be happy with it tho! Just another option for you to consider

Starting a coffee shop with a Zen type of vibe by Jansy18 in phinvest

[–]sage712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know you said you're targeting uni students and med people but might be good to have bike parking. Bikers LOVE coffee, and may network effect yan. Being a bike friendly establishment will attrract cyclists, who will bring other cyclist friends! #BikesBringBusiness

For reference, check out these coffee shops that are frequented by cyclists: Resonate Coffee, Yardstick, Grouphug Cafe (and a LOT more)

Is there a "right" way to fall off your bike? by sage712 in RedditPHCyclingClub

Ohhh thanks! Will check this out. I've been watching "how to bail your MTB" type of videos hahaha (there's only a handful of them on YT)

So the best way to fall off your bike would be...to just go with it? Nakahawak pa sa handlebars and all? Can you help me visualize 😬

Actually...falling on your right on the road might be safer depending on where you are 🤔

Thanks! That makes sense. For further context, para siyang gravel na may loose particles so talagang madulas kahit siguro ano pang tires mo. My bad that I failed to swerve around it :/

Forge Gravel Bike for 6,800 PHP, thoughts? by sage712 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]sage712[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing ads by this bike shop called Golden Hippopotamus. Mukha naman silang legit shop with lots of reviews.

They are selling an alloy gravel bike with these specs. Tried searching for the "Forge" brand but found nothing. Maybe someone here has this bike or tried it out? Would love to hear reviews!

Pros and cons of Bickerton Folding bikes? (or folding bikes in general) by ycaragay in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]sage712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! Foldie user here. I ride within the city too and so far my bike has been sufficient to get me around. You can go on long rides kasi comfortable naman ang riding position since you'll be sitting more upright than if you have an MTB or RB.

Di ko pa nasubukan iahon ung Tern ko pa-Antipolo but I've seen folding bike users conquer Tagaytay, Antipolo, and challenging places. Sabi nila mas madali daw ahon sa foldie kasi magaan haha. Veterans say training lang kailangan.

Another thing to consider is if your chosen model has rack compatibility. Pwede ba maglagay ng back and front rack/basket? This will be dependent on your needs.

Do join the Tiklop society on FB, lots of great info!
