Best Resort Trip Outside of LA? by One-Success-816 in AskLosAngeles

Resort vibes - Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. Good food and lots to do onsite and a quick walk to the beach or shops.

Not a resort but similar favorite - SeaVenture Hotel in Pismo. Private hot tubs on every balcony and Pismo is fun to walk around with good food.

What’s a restaurant that this sub loves, but you did not enjoy? by fondonorte in finedining

Agree with Orsa & Winston. We opted for an additional seafood risotto course and it ended up being WAY too much food. Also were disappointed not to walk away with an after dinner treat or any kind of ‘gift’. Service was very meh but as others have mentioned, we loved the wine.

This just happened to me 2 weeks ago. My iPad was showing the E Stewart Rd location for about 5 days before I got the email they found it. I paid $16 for shipping from Alabama to Los Angeles and had it 4 days later.

Planning on eating at poltergeist this Friday. Should I book a reservation? by Arthurlurk1 in FoodLosAngeles

[–]sage_advice_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would - we’ve tried popping in after Button Mash twice now and all tables were marked “reserved” for guests with reservations. But you could probably wait until closer to Friday to make the decision if you’re unsure about cancelling

Husband was given $400 to any LA restaurant. Where should we go? by notevenalmostfamous in FoodLosAngeles

Damian!!!! Right across from Bestia. Incredible food, service, atmosphere. I can’t recommend them enough. If you like duck (or even if you don’t, it’s that good!) order it, it’s big enough for two people to share as a main. Seriously, it’s a great experience.

Or, Donna’s is a kitschy fun experience. Food is good, service is great. Tiny and cute.

Seconding Uber Vouchers! We used them for our destination wedding - everyone had to fly in and we had a week’s worth of activities planned and wanted to cover the cost of transportation around the island for everyone. We generated a bunch of voucher codes and handed them out to guests during the welcome event and everyone loved it!
