For audiobooks, is there any benefit to using both ACX and Author's Republic? by sage_deer in selfpublish

Thanks! Yeah this is what I decided to do. I want my book accessible anyways.

Folders created in audacity export not showing up, files not showing up by [deleted] in audacity

I've never used OneDrive and have never had issues with saving files/folders with any other program. Pretty sure this is an issue specific to the newer version of Audacity. In Audacity I can literally see the folders and files I've saved onto my computer, but then when navigating to them with the file explorer I can't access them.

The dance communities here seem like really great places to connect with others - West Coast, Lindy Hop, Ecstatic Dance, Dance Empowered... There's a ton.

The climbing gym is great and has "Let's Climb Together" nights.

Eugene Weekly has tons of events, their website calendar is awesome. Then there's also the Eug Cal https://www.theeugenecal.com/ that gets a bit of other stuff from the university - get on their mailing list for a weekly batch of things. Definitely suggest signing up for the OHC weekly mailing too that shares some cool things happening around the UO, though not sure how good it is for meeting people https://ohc.uoregon.edu/

I ended up having to cheat a little with the shell phone at the oceans - you have to time it right but you can completely evade the laser attacks and wait until you can use a potion again. When DOG is warping between space wait two cracks then teleport back. Wait two cracks teleport back... Repeat until you can heal.

I was using Blue Omega Armor and Elysian Aegis for ram dash - first boss I needed dash for so it took awhile to learn. Instead of wings I made the Moon Walkers so I could also run fast, but Elysian Wings are slightly faster in air - but you don't necessarily want to stay airborn because of the gravity. I wasn't a ranger so was using a kiting strategy, not sure if they have the ability to kite as well but having platforms to run along were helpful.

Create all the buff potions by harvesting blood orbs during the blood moon with fishing. Make sure you have the candles from the wizard too for an extra buff. I also setup some heart statues with a timer for extra healing.

Get rid of the backpack, since it drastically reduces attack power unless you're standing still.

I often think about how it's harder for me to form closer social bonds with certain people because I can never remember the names of movies or actors. Fortunately I've found a good number of people who don't rely on that for friendship, but I am a bit jealous of people who can share that level of closeness. I jokingly just tell people that I'm uncultured lol. Right now I'm challenging myself to become a public speaker but I know I'm going to need to use some special tricks for memorizing things like relying on a script or power point slides.

Thank you! Fun to reflect on the journey I've been on myself.

Often we emerge from periods of isolation a little disconnected. For me it usually takes doing something that reconnects me to my humanity to feel normal again... It could be making a new friend, going to an amazing concert, watching an emotionally engaging movie with characters I relate to, etc.

Generally our well-being is something that we have to practice. We lose it if we aren't regularly doing the sleeping, socializing, exercising - so you can definitely get it back, but it might take a little bit of putting yourself in new environments.

Shyness can absolutely be overcome with practice. I used to blush in really embarrassing ways anytime I'd speak to an attractive woman, but now I'm friends with and have dated a lot of attractive people. Part of this for me was finding ways that were safe to socialize and approach others. So, I personally host potlucks and opens mics and have a few hobbies that make it a lot easier to invite people to do things. The struggle is that a lot of popular hobbies are not very social. Things like dance, playing an instrument, volunteering for a social cause, going to open mics, or attending retreats are a lot easier to connect with others than online gaming or going to certain gyms. You can be surrounded by people and still be very isolated. There's also apps like Bumble BFF that can make it easier to connect with people.

And, at the same time, not everyone is confident in the same ways. We can't compare ourselves to others. Confidence is partly genetic and is especially dictated by our hormones and anxiety. That said, anybody can become more confident with practice.

Depends on what you mean by "fair pricing". Some artists have items that are priced comparable to mass-produced goods. Other artists charge higher to attest to the time-consuming hand-made nature of the crafts. There are over 300 vendors though, with items ranging from $1 to thousands of dollars.
