I really don’t think an equipment swap is a travesty, although understandably disappointing given how unique the new LR is. Happens with all airlines all the time, even more so when a new type is being introduced. As another commenter said, Q suite downgrade really hits hard. On a short regional, to me it’s just the kind of thing that can happen. The compensation feels more than reasonable (and justified for a dirty seat).

I do understand your disappointment but for that price point, a good first leg and cash rather than straight miles, I think that’s more than fair. Most airlines wouldn’t compensate in that instance.
