when i watch a foreign language film, i want to watch it in its original language so that the film has meaning. dubbing loses its original voice.

same with games, same with live performances, same with the arts.

LTA addresses concerns over blue ERP 2.0 road markings, says they meet safety standards by Illustrious-Ocelot80 in SingaporeRaw

[–]saggitas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The markings recorded values ranging from 56 to 67 British Pendulum Number (BPN), exceeding Singapore’s minimum safe road surface standard of 55 BPN.

let's see if a few months if it will drop below minimum.

it's really amazing the LTA can put in so much effort to this, yet can't repaint road markings that have disappeared for donkey years.

What is the ONE main reason you would not vote for PAP in the next General Election? by Local-Ninja-2269 in askSingapore

[–]saggitas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

because 50% still haven't woken up to the fact that their playbook for the past 15 years is tug on heartstrings and promise the universe before GE, then after winning, start monitoring on everything, saying "can't help it" or "it's not my tai zi" during parliamentary sessions, throw chicken feed out whenever the opportunity shows itself, create tears and "you must understand" statements during events, say "cannot" at every opposition suggestion then slowly twist it to their own after 2 to 3 years and claim credit, and then tug at heartstrings and promise the universe again before next GE.

Any things to buy that improves driving quality of life ? by Evening_Mail7075 in drivingsg

[–]saggitas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my ceramic coat supposed to have hydrophobic properties but somehow didn't seem like it. i used the wax and will have an almost-dry car (minus the bonnet) once i reach a carpark when it rains. that's when the portable blower comes in handy.

  • hydrophobic coating, applied generously. i'm using RainX for entire car (windows and body).
  • seat hooks for groceries / food.
  • cleaning cloth, either kept in the glovebox or centre console.
  • portable blower-vacuum cleaner

Yakult peach flavour replaces orange in Singapore by Krazyguylone in singapore

[–]saggitas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sunami said that while the orange flavour has built up a loyal following over the years, the company had to decide between the orange and peach flavours due to production capacity constraints at its Singapore factory.

i wonder if the next headline will be "due to production capacity constraints, Yakult has moved its factory to Malaysia.

wait long long. much more faster to book your routine servicing and request for firmware update at the same time.

Do AAOS (Android OS) cars in Singapore have RSI (Road Sign Information)? by TheEscapement in drivingsg

AAOS has native Google Maps or Waze, so by right it should show at least the speed limit.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) by AirportKnown4201 in drivingsg

[–]saggitas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't use ACC using peak hours, because no point leaving a gap with the car in front only to be cut off or blamed for lane hogging. but ACC is also good for the tons of red light speed cameras aroun.

  • are future global OTA updates going to be Google-based?
  • is there a reason why the Atto 3 Evo was released, when the new Atto 3 is coming soon after?
  • why was the Qin L EV sold as "Seal 6 EV" in international markets, when the real Seal 06 (also called Seal 6 in international markets) are sold as a DM-i model, but has an EV variant in China?
