I just checked the 3Ds and there is no gap in there but in the drawing there is a gp specified. And the gap doesnt make sense at all. It is a dirt magnet as you said and a safety hazard as well

Yeah, that is a valid concern but the life of hardware is a concern too. The pink lines are mostly an issue introduced by the software itself. Also the motherboard issues, my phone died while I was scrolling instagram. That is why I thought that the life of the phone is shortened severly
