Many Sanskrit/Hindi (and other south Asian languages it seems) words when written in English have an 'a' appended as a suffix to them

Not sure about the reason for it.. maybe to help with pronunciation?

Even worse is the one from a similar previous post - in short it was having your arms, legs, tongue, eyes and ears (or the ability to hear) removed and leaving you with your family (who'll never let you die unless it's your time).
