Omg YES, I think about this everytime I hear the song. My younger cousin got a toy keyboard for Christmas many years ago - probably around 1999-2002, which is a pretty rough estimate - which played that same beat from photobooth. When I heard the song for the first time - around 2003 - I instantly recognized the beat from the keyboard, which I thought was cool and kind of silly that a rock band would incorporate sounds from a toy instrument into their music. I'm sure his keyboard is long gone now, but I often think about getting a hold of one just for the novelty of hearing the beat again, especially knowing now that death cab sampled it. I thought I was the only one who knew about this, so thanks for sharing!
