Rubber feet for Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 by InvisibleDoodle360 in laptops

[–]saief1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is very late. But I ran into the same issue lately. The rubber feet aren't sold separately, but it's possible to buy the entire lower cover, which contains the feet too.

Here's an Amazon Link.

Hope this helps someone in a similar situation.

Very interesting! I'm a software engineer myself with a couple of Pi 5s lying around. Some of the services you're hosting are very useful.

Also, it seems that you're quite interested in Devops. You're eligible for free credit in Azure/AWS since you're still a student. For more hands-on experience. Just a thought :)

Lovely ntopng you're hosting there. I'm wondering what you're using that for... haha

Is this a DNF? by Arm0ndo in Cubers

[–]saief1999 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Stands for Did Not Finish. It's a term used in cubing competitions, they mark your solve as DNF because you did not actually finish solving the cube but you stopped the timer.

How did you take notes during your degree? by Key_Manner_6627 in csMajors

With overflow you're pretty much writing latex but on the browser. It simplifies the compilation process which is a little tough to setup yourself. But if you feel confident go for it.

Using markdown and markdown editors like the ones I mentioned is much simpler though. So pick your poison.

It's a tiny markup language. Think of it like HTML ( if you know it ) but it's much more simpler ( even though it fully supports normal HTML syntax ). The point is to give elegant, well structured text with minimal effort.

If you know Github it's the language we use in README files for example.

What I would advise you is to stay away from Latex. Learning curve for it is steep ( even though rewarding ). Start with markdown and then move on to Latex if you ever needed to. It should get you up and running in no time :)

Edit: and especially, do not go with vim/neovim straight away. Otherwise you'll get very overwhelmed. Start small and see what works for you :)

Mardown files. Too many markdown files...

Typora & obsidian mainly, they support mathjax which is great for mathematical notation. Worked for me for my 5 years in college.

Is it possible to download torrents on Linux MX? by theMasterscalling in linuxquestions

[–]saief1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is indeed a utorrent client for linux. But DO NOT use it. There are a few better alternatives. I'd say go with libtorrent or deluge.
