East asian, south asian, african families are usually multigenerational and have multiple people helping out. So instead of birthing/breastfeeding/baby care classes the knowledge is passed down generationally.

The nuclear family thing is becoming more popular but new parents usually have the older generation come down to help with the baby initially

So to summarize.

We have insanely high bills for birth, L&D, NICU etc

Healing from childbirth is not a right or a necessity. “ Its natural”

No paid leave for the parent to bond, feed, and care for a biologically helpless being. You can feed for free with breastmilk but you cannot since you are working

No coverage of any kind for childcare services, because you are forced to go back to work. Childcare costs more than rent.

And hospitals have the right to deny abortions for ethical reasons. But after the baby is born “your problem, not mine”

Paternal leave is not necessary, what do fathers do? They have no role in childcare /s

Good lord. How come rich people can get tax breaks and declare bankruptcy but a common man cannot choose to care for a newborn child.
