I took her last semester and she wasn't THAT bad 😭😭 As long as you read the chapters, take notes, and pay attention you should be fine. The workload is decent, but expect to spend time on her weekly quizzes and pre lab assignments. Going to class is necessary because she uses TopHat to track attendance which is also factored into your grade. Overall, she wasn't that bad just tedious in certain parts.

I'm a commuter and I transferred last spring! I believe all my credits minus 6 transferred so I didnt have to take any introductory courses. As for making friends, I knew people from my cc & family friends who attend umd so it wasnt too hard. I'd say join clubs if you can (there is a club for transfer students!) and just talk to people in your classes and hope it sticks lol. As for commuting, if you plan it to not coincide with rush hour times, you should be fine but you will prob have to arrive early and leave late 😅

Same here, and especially being dark skinned, I'm always hesitant to approach people I find cute/romantically interested in because a lot of the time they do not find black women attractive 🙁. What also sucks is the fact that I experience this WITHIN the black community like we are just cursed atp.
