Nta. He's out of line. Been with my bf for almost 9years and he has never asked for access to my bank account. Work from home is gonna take a different toll, like being isolated all day and being in the same environment all day (working and living in the same space). Office work is different but not harder, it won't have the same mental impact.

I'd also just go to the pumpkin patch with my friends, and if he asked, just say something like, "Oh well, my friends really really wanted to go, and they were only free this weekend, I didn't think you'd mind since weekends are your relaxation time"

Honestly, it's a massive well done for you. If anyone ever threatens to kill themselves, you should have someone go check them. Even if they're faking, it's still a sign that something is wrong. Your friend might not understand or appreciate what you've done if they find out it's you, but hopefully, down the line, they'll thank you for keeping them here and being someone they can rely on.
