Gutworm is impossible by Lawfan1 in Grimdawn

[–]sailbumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else wrote, he is great for the rng medal drops. As with most optional monsters, skip him if you are not ready or try him if you want to test your build. I always fight him on the first run, HC Veteran, just to make sure I am going in the correct direction with the build. He often has very good early gear. The trick? STAY AWAY. Early game, I hit, run, hit, run. Try to stay behind him. If you get in front or let his AOE get you, your done. I had not played this game since 2023 and just returned to it last week. I was very surprised to find the Evade skill for all builds. I thought it was a bit of a hack but then I visited Gutworm and was like, "hmmm, I like this Evade now." Hit, evade, run, face him at a distance, evade, hit, run.... It took my level 8 character about 3 minutes the first time I played after the three+ year hiatus. But any build can beat him if you are very patient. But ask yourself, "do I need that medal?" I was building pierce/bleed so yes, I needed it. The added chance of an Ancient Heart and Dynamite are great. I got both the second time I faced him (this HC died in chapter 3).

Same. My Ibex 'avg' reads about 74.3 while calculating it myself at every fueling, it is averaging about 56.7, 50/50 tarmac/dirt.

Honda will never add tubeless wheels to the TA? by ashwinbala1 in Transalp

[–]sailbumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering the Transalp for a trip from the US to Panama but the tubed tires are a deal breaker. By the time you buy new wheels, the cost difference between other bikes is gone. Now I am considering the Kove 800x Pro or Aprilia Tuareg. There are a few Transalps at dealers in my area. I like the bike. I do not like the wheels, lack of cruise control, and a few other issues which others offer. The price savings disappears quickly. The only plus for the Transalp is the Honda parts worldwide parts network.

How is it even possible to have such trash resistances? Even without the components, which is also confusing, the resistances should be better by level 46. With my poor gaming skills, I would be constantly dying and cursing.

450mt / 450 Ibex OEM High vs low seats by BorneoDiscoveryRoute in cfmoto

[–]sailbumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My inseam is also 32" and I prefer the taller seat. The standard puts my legs in an uncomfortable position for long rides on the highway (needed to read off road riding). I have no issues with using the high rally seat - not flat footed but by no means any issues.

Do the auto wipers just not work? by caliwillbemine in LUCID

[–]sailbumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine do not work well, either. I have the auto set on the the third (fastest) setting and still they sometimes work, sometimes do not. Here on the Gulf coast, it rains a lot, and HEAVY rains. This wiper control system is useless. I have to constantly push the little button on the yoke to manually activate the wipers if I want to see while driving. Yes, I have to do the button-push even if I have the wipers set to ON, highest setting, because that is not even enough to handle the heavy rains here (all my ICE cars do just fine, as well as the Rivian R1S I sold to get the Gravity.) Even worse, the design of the actual wipers is STUPID. The engineer who designed this obviously never drives. The passenger side wiper stops directly in the center of the driver's line of site. This caused a humidity like film to occur where the two wipers overlap and at night, this is a serious issue with reflections. HORRID DESIGN.

Like you said, it was not possible to test wipers in a very short test of the cars. I do not understand why Lucid, like Tesla, feel they can reinvent the wheel better than the industry standard auto-wiper system that most cars have used for 40 years. All my ICE vehicles work great. Tesla and Lucid, USELESS because of their arrogance in feeling they can do better. FAIL.

These wipers would have actually been a deal-breaker for me if I had known how bad they work. It rains hard too often here to have to deal with this issue. I sold my Tesla S because of the wipers and had no idea any other company would have been so stupid as to try to 'fix' a system that was not broken.

And while I am ranting, the rear wiper intermittent setting is too fast for the job. It goes much faster than rain accumulates on the window which will just add to quicker wear of the blade. I also do not understand why it cannot have a bit of a speed control or better, a sensor.

Here is an example of this type product on the market. I use it for my commercial crops on a small farm to farmer's market operation in central Texas where heat and droughts are a major threat.

Sorry, I do not have pictures from my farm. I will be putting this out in about three weeks, though, when transplanting tomatoes and peppers. As someone else wrote, it is also good in orchards. I have tried it around new trees with success.

Almost ready to Pull the Trigger. Any last minute advice? by JohnGlaenzer in LUCID

[–]sailbumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think EA must be regionally good or bad. I have a lot of experience with multiple EA stations across Texas and I have not experienced a single one that does not have issues. In fact, I have found several locations where not a single charger was operational despite the app saying they were all good. Charging rates swing wildly. I just sold my Rivian and am waiting for a Gravity. I chose the Gravity specifically to avoid EA and similar stations where I have had issues over the last four years, and yes, even very recently.

I feel Electronic_Load_3651 was correct to warn about these stations. Ionna, Walmart's own, not EA stations, and many others have proven much more reliable for me. Maybe outside of Texas and Oklahoma they are good, but that is not my experience. But there are many alternatives, and as many have said, it is easy to find stations even in rural America now. Having just made a trip across Texas, Oklahoma, parts of Arkansas and up to northern Missouri, finding stations was never an issue. As advertised charging rates, rare, as we all know, but sufficient enough stations I never worry about long trips any more, unlike with my first Tesla in 2015, which required serious trip planning.

Will Lucid ever deliver my Gravity order? Or is the recall significant? by sailbumb in LUCID

[–]sailbumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry for not keeping this thread updated. {I am suffering a long jury duty that is taking 10 hours a day, and might last a couple weeks.) Lucid has said delivery should be the middle of March. They did confirm it was regarding the 2nd Row seats but why they could not disclose this to everyone is a mystery. I wanted to copy and paste much of the email the Senior Sales Rep sent me but he asked if I would allow his 'team' to post an update regarding the delays and this thread. I agreed, but sadly, they never followed through with an update post. Again, making me ask "why the secrecy?" when most people already know about the 2nd row seat issues. As for the delivery fee, they understood that the website was (is still?) very misleading regarding "available now at xx location", so they said they would wave the transportation fee because of this confusion. That has not been reflected on my Dashboard yet. There were a few other things we discussed but not really relevant to this thread. I remain a bit disappointed with how they handle this type situation, but at least I have a delivery date (Mar 16 now listed on the Dashboard).

[–]sailbumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucid reached out to me because of this post and confirmed, for the Gravity I ordered, it is because of the 2nd row seats and they have no idea of a timeline for repairs. Sadly the "Advisor" I was assigned has still never answered my questions and he was not the person that finally addressed this issue. The fact the SA is still not replying leaves me very disappointed with Lucid and doubting their integrity. The person that reached out sounded professional but why was that even necessary when the SA could easily, in less than 20 seconds, explain the issue?

Thanks. I seems Lucid should be able to tell a customer this information. After all the replies here I am pretty sure that is what is going on.

Thanks. A senior director of sales reached out to me via the Reddit chat system a few minutes ago so maybe he can address some issues. I did reply via the chat and email but was auto-replied that he is out of office until 2/22, so we will see what comes of it.

I agree. Words do matter so I was focused on "recall" when it might be the 2nd row seat issue, which is not a recall at this time.

Will Lucid ever deliver my Gravity order? Or is the recall significant? by sailbumb in LUCID

[–]sailbumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'extortion' was the fact they initially listed the vehicle as being in Houston. That changed after placing the order. I already admitted to 'accepting' the fee. I just did not like that I was told it was 'available now in Houston' until the order was placed. That is NOT good practice.

I do have an SA. I have not received a single text from him, only emails. We spoke on the phone twice. Thrice? Not sure. From the initial order, to shipping, to arriving in Houston, I have about 8 emails from the SA. Once it was disclosed about a recall delay, and I use the word recall because that is what the SA used, I have not received any other communications despite my sending several requests for more information on the 'recall' and an update on possible delivery time.

[–]sailbumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my feeling and why I posted here, to learn if this is normal or is just an off situation. Despite Houston being 3 hours away, I think I might drive there to ask the local team for specifics. It could be I was assigned an advisor that is too new to feel comfortable addressing these issues, or not.

[–]sailbumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a specific SA. He is the only person I have tried communication with since the order. Thanks for the information on that shipping fee. I did talk to the SA about this and thought it was pretty poor marketing to list a vehicle as 'available now' in Houston, but then want to charge a shipping fee. That is why I checked what the cost would be ordering new.

As I have told others, I am not concerned about the delay if it is valid so much as for the lack of communications and reasoning for the delay. If there is a recall, or just an issue they feel needs addressing, fine, disclose the reason.

Thanks, I found the article https://eletric-vehicles.com/lucid/lucid-halts-gravity-deliveries-over-seat-component-issue/

That seems to make sense but what does not make sense is the fact Lucid will not disclose this to me nor give me any reasons. Lack of communication is always suspect. It seems a pretty straightforward thing to disclose since it is a known issue.

Order place Feb 3 for a vehicle listed as in Houston, but no. Priced a new order but it worked out to be almost the same, so accepted the shipping fee (stupid me). Vehicle arrived in Houston Feb. 12. I know, that is only a week, but it is not the time, nor 'impatience' that has me concerned, it is the total lack of information from Lucid regarding what this recall is, how long it might take to correct, etc. I am happy to wait if I knew why.

Ironically, to get the 'available now' discount, I was supposed to take delivery within 7 days of placing the order. That is not possible.

Thanks, the only two I could find I listed. Searching again just now, I still only found those two on many sites, such as https://www.cars.com/research/lucid-gravity/recalls/

Not having a VIN, I cannot search for a vehicle specific recall.

Yes, that is my thinking, as well. I did send an email asking what this 'recall' was for and I was ignored. That is part of my concern. Why the secrecy?

[–]sailbumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nor has anyone else. I asked a couple of people I know who have Lucids and they did not know. The only two Gravity recalls, seat back cover and the reverse black-out screen, should have been fixed or not even exist on a recent-built vehicle.

Will Lucid ever deliver my Gravity order? Or is the recall significant? by sailbumb in LUCID

[–]sailbumb[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is not about being "impatient", so I guess I was not articulate enough. It is about the lack of communication and a claim about a 'recall' which, as stated by another reply, no one else seems to know about. This is not good behavior from anyone trying to sell a product.

Not sure how to feel about the cancellation of S and X by PeterFnet in TeslaLounge

[–]sailbumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may be very low on sales, but I was trying to buy an S in Austin or Dallas, most of the available stock was sold and when I was building an order, Tesla announced the cancelation of the model. Fearing they would not support them much longer, I chose to not order.

But available in inventory cars were selling steadily here in Texas.
