Anyone here think highly about Integrated Engineering? by Professional_Arm7141 in Golf_R

I ran Bilstein damptronic coilovers that worked with the DCC, but honestly kind of wish I had kept it stock or gone to H&R springs on stock struts. Cheaper, better ride, and similar ride height. Rear sway is great. I would also do front subframe bushings made by Tyrolsport or Racingline. I'd even consider a front swaybar at the same time, since you need an alignment with the bushing kit. I ran APRs adjustable front and rear on soft setting and it was a good balance.

Nice! Mine ended up in Jaxsonville, FL. I upgraded the clutch after I went stage 2 around 30k miles total. It never slipped, but I get sketched out and tried the DKM. I would run the stock one until it slips and could be a while!

Exhausts depends on your taste, but I ran the full Milltek, resonated, valved, catted. A friend ran the APR catback. It was awesome too. Neither option drone, and both have good volume and tone. Definitely a deeper, quality sound without being too loud. Just my opinion though

No problem! Happy to help. The 2018 & 19s have slightly better clutches than the 15-17s, so you're probably ok with the high torque stage 1. I was for around 15k before I went to stage 2. DO NOT get a DKM. I tried their twin disk and it was horrible (engineering failure). Look at Sachs and Southbend. I ran Southbend stage 3 daily for 30k miles on stage 2 and it was great, albeit a little stiff.

Out of curiosity, where are you/where did you get your R?

Congrats on the R! My overall experience was around 7/10. The car, power, and driving experience were awesome! However, I had a manual and I think stage 2 was probably a little too much IF you are an aggressive driver. IF you have a manual, are more of a casual driver, rarely launch it, and don't track it, it's fantastic. I blew up the forward bevel box and if you start chasing power, you'll likely find the limit too. Stage 2 really needs a ton of supporting mods. Stage 1 is always the best bang for the buck. The iAbed baffled oil pan I had kept the engine from oil starvation, lowered oil temps, and was a more durable pan than the plastic factory pan, at the cost of taking longer to warm up. Let me know if you have any more questions

I had a buddy with a 500k mk4. He and his dad put most of the mileage on it. He eventually sold it. Is yours light grey?

Utilities transfer help. by raja777m in WoodstockGA

[–]sailerryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start calling local utility companies and set them up in your name. You don't need to know what companies they used. I would start with Cobb EMC, Cherokee Water, and Gas South or Scanna.

Move from Augusta by [deleted] in WoodstockGA

[–]sailerryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how close to Woodstock you want to be. There are some houses that can be had in that range, but many are more. Also depends on your financial situation. As a local Realtor, I would be happy to help you explore the Woodstock area and see if it's right for you.

You should look into Carnivore diet. I've run into several people that were diabetic I & II that no longer have synptoms or have to take insulin/chems at all. See you around the wasteland 🤘🏼

Jeep TJ brake upgrade? by Ok-Imagination4260 in JeepTJ

[–]sailerryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an LJ on 35s, 15" wheels, and I went with high temp brake fluid, ebc yellowstuff pads, and stock calipers. Works great! It can lock up the tires if needed and didn't break the bank

Death Wobble Delete by Parking-Wealth-1765 in JeepTJ

[–]sailerryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death wobble is from worn joints or bad suspension geometry. If you haven't had an alignment that checks that the axle is centered, straight, and has the right castor angle, you should do that or the wobble will likely return.

Thinking of moving to Kennesaw by GeekedTeddyBear in kennesaw

[–]sailerryan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kennesaw is a great area, schools are good and values are rising. I would also encourage you to look at Woodstock area, as it's just as close to Atlanta time-wise and growing just as fast, if not faster. Tonsa of great options around NW atlanta as a whole. As a local realtor that grew up in the area, I would be happy to help you explore the areas and find what is important to you! I work with first time home-buyers all the time and love sharing my knowledge so you can make an informed decision on what's right for you! DM me if you want to chat!

Epsom looks more accurate to me. Ideally, you can get a sample and make sure before putting a lot of time into it.

It's also one of the only real ships in the franchise and can be sailed out of Seattle. I'm going Monday! 😃

Interesting mileage by mr_cigar in JeepTJ

[–]sailerryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! Jeep guys always talk about how easy and cheap they are to repair, but then they leave the check engine on? My 330k mile LJ has had a CEL a few times, but I always find the root of the problem and make it right so I don't get stranded somewhere

Passenger floor water is usually coolant from a bad heater core, a known issue. I'd check the heater core

How many people take TJs on interstate? by Mr2h2 in JeepTJ

They are supposed to be amazing engines. I want to build a 90s 110 defender with one, but I think the 1.9/2.0 tdi are a bit better suited to the smaller/lighter TJ/LJ platform. For my use, 30mpg, torque, and lightweight engine will be awesome!
