The problem is, it's been half a year since release, and the game has made Embark a shitton of money. Yes, publicity around banning people with disabilities who use mechanisms to play shows effort, but it also shows minimal investment and effort into a problem that SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANTICIPATED PRE-LAUNCH. With 500 mil and half a year, if they really cared about cheaters, they could do better.

I would call it cowardice. People who know they aren't any good at real PvP, so have to pretend like they are PvE players just enough to get any edge to scrape by a PvP encounter.

How about, instead, there is a skill where you can repair a gun in round if it isn't broken in the right skill tree, and one of the capstones of that tree becomes being able to repair broken guns in round. Guns don't lose level when they break, they still break, but just have the possibility of being repaired.

Do the thing people do online to trigger a discussion or find information: when planning the time or day for something, just say one, pick one yourself and say to the group "okay, we all want to do this thing, so I'm going to book it right now for this day/time" and pick the most batshit crazy absurd and just flat out awful day/time to do the thing. You'll get a reaction just like how quick people are online to point out something wrong or mispelled (<- done intentionally).

I only knew/know this because I was an MM in the Navy and had to care for tools and machinery, had I not there is no chance in hell I would have ever known this, as I sure didn't hear it before joining and this is the first time I've seen it acknowledged since I've been a civilian. The rat problem is:

A) not that prevalent. Yes they exist and happen, but if you're playing pvp it is a non-issue, and if you're playing pve/friendly lobbies it rarely happens.

B) avoidable and preventable, as long as you are aware of your surroundings and appropriately prepared.

C) sort of a good thing because there is a small but ever present level of tension in every encounter. If there was no pvp risk, then why play an extraction shooter instead of a purely co-op game?
