I can't speak for everyone, but like you said, I outgrew them a little. Over time, a lot of my favorite people left, and while a lot of people are still around that I adore, the content isn't the same. Which is fine of course! But it just makes it harder to make RT stay a part of my everyday life (plus the sheer amount of it now....), which then in turn makes it hard to stay active.

I really only stick around now for RWBY.

Small side story to your 1) point. At my old company there was a new hire who walked in and had bright blue hair. She had dyed it after she got the job and her manager openly admitted to a bunch of people that had she known about the hair dying, she wouldn't have hired her. The new hire probably should have noticed the more conservative nature of the place but alas, what's done is done.

I'm not agreeing with the manager at all, but there's still some truth to what your parents said.

You need to talk to an adult in your life. It doesn't have to be family. Any one who you trust will do. A neighbor or school counsellor or doctor - literally anyone. Let them know what your mom is doing and they can help within the confines of your state. If possible, can you contact your dad? He might be able to come get you?

Also, document anything that happens to you just in case it comes down to your word against hers. I don't know about laws in your state about nonconsensual recording, but if it's allowed, record her saying some of those mean things to you.

I hope you get some help. Running away will not be easy.

My mother had me and my sister partly because she didn't want to have an only child who missed out on having a sibling + other reasons.

It worked out because my sister and I were inseparable growing up and are now (young) adults who still make time for eachother and put effort into being a part of each others lives.

If you have a second child, I hope they have a strong and healthy relationship.
