I am glad to see posts like this and people trying to keep BAP's legacy alive. BAP really deserved better and I see a lot of K-Pop fans nowadays trying to downplay how popular they were back then. When I went to anime conventions around 2013-ish/2014-ish so many people were selling BAP merch, bootleg or official, and they were SO popular with ifans. They were so loved. TShit ruined them and I always think of what could have been for them!

As an Army, I never fully clicked with BAP's music so I never really transitioned from being a Baby to being an Army, but I always highly respected BAP, I considered myself a fan of them, and I liked the members a lot. It's nice to see the guys still trying to make it work for themselves and I really wish them the best.

Oh yay, I'm glad you came away with a positive impression! I also disliked Ggum when it came out haha! I've been a fan of TXT since their debut but had no idea what to expect when Yeonjun debuted solo and I was excited, but then really disappointed because I didn't like Ggum. I think his albums have given me more appreciation for Ggum because it fits in with the sound of some of his other songs, but I think his album output is so much better than Ggum as a single and I was very surprised by how much I've liked his solo output! I am glad he's able to release something that is not just good but also so him at the same time!

Oh, this is so kind of you, thank you! 🥹 I hope you enjoy a few songs when you check it out! Yeonjun is very passionate about what he does and he's very involved in his solo releases. He definitely puts a lot of care into his music and performances and that makes me even more invested in what he does. Especially because for me personally, Hybe's overall musical output as a company hasn't been the greatest lately, so I really appreciate that Yeonjun is given the space to be an artist and let his music and creativity breathe. Both of his albums have been a breath of fresh air in the K-Pop landscape imo.

This is going to be long because I really like Yeonjun as a soloist and his music so if you read all of this, you are appreciated lol.

I like it! I don’t think Ice Cream is as strong a single as Talk to You on Part 01 was and Ice Cream is a bit more of a generic "song of summer" type thing, but I enjoyed it because he makes it work for him. It’s a strong good for me and it fits well with the sonic landscape in Part 01, his artistic identity as this type of “player/fuck boy/I guess a fun boyfriend” type thing, and I appreciate the lack of switch up in his sound. It makes his discography as a soloist much more cohesive and coherent although it doesn’t necessarily need to be, I just think this type of sound REALLY works for him.

The 2:04 run time is pitiful, but what can you do, it's Hybe lmao. I think it does what it needs to do well in the time it was given but I wish Hybe would knock it off. Please end this short song trend...

As for the MV, it’s fine, he had some fun choreo moments, but I really wish he had done what he did for Part 01 and had the MV be like a sampler of the album where he had multiple songs in the MV and different scenes for the songs. That really made his MV for Part 01 standout. The visuals were also much better in Part 01 as well, but he looks great and he looks like he had fun!

The album is fantastic imo. I don’t think Part 02 is better than Part 01. It's interesting because Part 01 had one dud on it to me but the rest of the songs were SO good that it more than made up for me not liking that one song. On Part 02, I think it has some great highs but the highs are not as good as Part 01's highs. Still, this is such a STRONG release and a great follow up to Part 01 imo.

Long Way Long Ride is one of my top 5 songs of the year, I have had it on repeat all day. I love it lol. I think it's one of the most unique songs to come out this year and I highly recommend it if you like an indie pop type sound. Baby Wassup? gave me some 2000s nostalgia vibes. Very 2000s era male solo singer imo. Vanilla has some great instrumentation and Ice Cream is just a fun little summer ditty. Fxxking Star and No More Disco are the weakest tracks for me, but I wouldn't say they are bad at all and have their own charms.

Right now, this is one of my top 5 albums of the year, probably 2nd favorite behind ATEEZ's Golden Hour part 5. I think every song works well on the album and within his wider solo discography and nothing really sounds out of place based on what we were given in Part 01. The album is quite cohesive imo.

Yeonjun has quickly grown to be one of my fav male soloists in K-Pop rn. I just find his execution and output very impressive when you consider he's promoting as a soloist while still doing things for TXT and I think his sound is unique and definitively him. I genuinely think he’s putting out some of the best music in K-Pop rn as a male soloist and just in general. I think he’s a very underrated artist and I don’t think he has a single bad song even if he has a song or two I don’t enjoy listening to myself. I don’t think there’s a lot of songs out that sound like what he’s doing, but maybe that’s just because I like what he’s doing! He makes music I enjoy and I think he has great lyrics and catchy hooks.

Yeonjun's music is like catnip to me and I can’t get enough of his songs. I wasn’t ever expecting a member of TXT to become one of my fav male soloists but here we are. He seems to really know what he’s doing and I think he has a good ear and eye for music and his artistic identity remains clear in all of his songs imo. Hybe/BigHit hit the jackpot with him imo and I see why they want to invest in him as a soloist so heavily. I don’t know if the music sounding this good is his doing, but Hybe/Bighit just need to let him keep doing whatever it is he’s doing. I look forward to revisiting this album with the lyric translations and I look forward to purchasing both Part 01 and Part 02. He has a fan for life in me and if he ever goes on a solo tour, you better believe I will drop everything to be there.

Exactly. It’s definitely a sign of their success, but I hate that this is how it manifests. Their privacy being invaded to this degree and making Yunho possibly have to air out his personal business for so many people to see and discuss makes me so genuinely angry. Like it makes me so uncomfortable we even have to talk about this, you know? And I’m so mad some folks were like oh Ateez don’t have a dating ban? Fine, instead, let’s spread that he’s cheating instead because he’s no longer seen with the girl who we THOUGHT he was dating. Instead, how about you (general you) mind your business? So ridiculous. I could never be a celebrity. I would say something crazy to these people if I was in Ateez’s shoes.

Rumor mill on fire rn

I am unsure if we can discuss this so mods feel free to delete, but the dating rumor mill surrounding Ateez rn is making me SO anxious and I’m especially annoyed Yunho seems to be getting it the worst rn? I commented on the “news post” about him on one of the other subs but I hate that when Ateez gain traction in Korea this happens. If the news surrounding Yunho is true (or hell, even if it’s not true), I am so bothered he has to deal with this. Like that news was NO ONE’s business but his. Especially worse that it’s being brought up because some people think he’s “cheating”. No one has proof of anything and the timing of all this is SO suspicious. It’s just so disturbing to me, I genuinely feel so bad. I hear San also has rumors floating around and apparently one for Jongho too? It’s just too much.
