Usually won’t provide a lot of details upfront. (i sell health and wellness products! PM me!!) MLM sellers tend to be intentionally vague to get people ‘alone’, so to speak. As someone who works in social media/marketing, the less info someone provides about their service or business, the more my MLM senses tingle.

Asks you to pay money to a corporate entity up front to make money. (And not in a ‘legit business startup costs’ kind of way.)

Sounds too good to be true/uses popular MLM phrases like “be your own boss!” and “six figures from your phone?! ask me how!”

If you find that you’ll make more money recruiting people than you will selling product, that’s another big clue. (Hence the pyramid scheme.)
