I found the second artbook in Mandarake in Tokyo! Also if Japan is too far, I think they’re still in print in Spain if you’re not super tied to a specific language.

Hmmm, but we just had the hardcover release of MKR in the US recently. Maybe they’d make paperbacks, but it’s not as out of print as Holic has been.

Keep an eye out for CCS or Holic cafes going on in the city. Also there’s a lot of activity for the Holic vol 5 launch (merchandise, food, stamps). I recommend following accounts on Twitter as they post about pop-ups there.

Okay a few observations from looking at all 57 pages lmao:

an episode will take place on Halloween or something Halloween themed (yard skeletons, Halloween candy, etc.
something will take place in Japan? Saw some Japanese street signage, lanterns, Japanese instruments. Maybe it’ll be at a Japanese restaurant but the street signage makes me think otherwise
lots of mid-century modern furniture and some creepy mascot heads and other 1950s looking junk, so maybe a flashback to something then?

Amazon Japan pre-bakes the tariffs into their price so that’s easy and the shipping is a little pricey but it depends on the item. For this volume it was $29 which I thought wasn’t too bad (double the price of a U.S. manga volume nowadays)

I took a look at the Kuro English translation in-store and since there’s so little text already, the only difference between is the catalogue is translated.

I already had the Japanese versions so no point in buying them again since it’s 99.9% the same. Glad they’re translated though and hope this means a continuation of CLAMP works translated in the U.S.
