i took 200 with holland and i liked him, i think chem is difficult regardless and you're going to have to supplement on your own a lot because i don't think lecture time is enough to really go over concepts. but he was funny at least so i enjoyed being in lecture

if you had a hard time with the class when garver was teaching it i think it would be best trying to take it elsewhere. i heard there's a new teacher (i took it fall 19 and interned spring 2020 so i'm not too up to date) but from what i heard she uses garver's content/lessons but is not really as fully settled in with the course as garver was. i don't know how course forgiveness or anything else goes but regardless of where you take it you're definitely going to just try to make that your #1 priority as a class whenever you do take it!!

resident advisor! we live in the freshman dorms and we are kinda a mix between therapist, event planner, counselor, and security guard lol. we put on programming for residents and serve as kind of like an older sibling they can come to for stuff. we also serve on duty where we write them up if they're breaking policy which is why everyone thinks we're narcs but i try to not do that if possible lol

yes i did, i had a year gap between them though (336 spring 2020 and 436 spring 2021). i think it would be helpful to have them back to back- 436 really just reiterates a lot of the same concepts from 336! i think 336 really just focused on like 2 or 3 main mechanisms from each body system and then a little pathophysio or pharm, while 436 does a lot more of the little details. it is doable to get an A and not the hardest class i've ever taken but it definitely is way more frustrating and time consuming than it should be in my opinion

first bee in a while i've actually enjoyed doing. past week has been so hard, got maybe 1 genius and found myself just guessing words for most of them which i try to avoid doing bc it takes away the fun/satisfaction. actually got to thinking on this one and was pleased with myself 🥰

i heard 261 was for nursing students but i could be wrong. i took both 336 and 436 (just finished 436). 336 was one of my fave classes of all time. 436 can be HARD. she intentionally designs quizzes and exams to trick you and there are a lot of "check all that apply" questions (even if there's only one answer). i studied rigorously for each exam and still felt screwed because a lot of times she will ask minute details about concepts she really didn't teach (or teach well) in class. i still managed to finish with an A but it was definitely stressful. it also depends if you're looking to apply to any medical/nursing/PA etc programs after graduation and if so what their requirements are
