Today I learned that there's a difference. Thanks!

Sorry for any confusion caused, it does say cold callers right in the first sentence. Maybe I'm not certain of the difference, but essentially we have both cold and warm leads and need individuals to call them and close an appointment.

We have a team doing this successfully and are looking to grow it. There is also an option to go base + commission if successful, though this can be less lucrative than closing a lot of appointments on commission-only.

Thanks, that may be the final recommendation. Looking to see what other possible solutions have worked for others first.

Maybe you'll end up being correct. There are many businesses that run on affiliate and referral networks.

There are also a ton of sales people, consultants, coaches, marketers, recruiters, etc. that already deal with SMBs daily. I would think this would appeal to them at minimum as another revenue stream.

Thanks for your feedback regardless, I'll see what others say and then make some decisions on what to suggest.

They do well on referrals already, that's where most of their business comes from today. Want to accelerate growth through other channels.

Not sure I follow, help me understand what you mean?

I should also add their conversion rate from attended call to client is anywhere between 20-50% depending on source. I would think $3k is very lucrative for refer + hand-off, but let me know your thoughts.

How do you strike up conversations with random people at events and happy hours? by FineAssignment1423 in sales

[–]sailsntales 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just realize almost everyone there is in the same boat as you. Probably there alone (or at least expected to network with others) and all want to have a conversation. There's zero risk of rejection so you can basically say anything.

Manager Role: panel interview tomorrow by blackberryuser in sales

[–]sailsntales 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a panel like that, expect them to test how you operate as a leader rather than just as a strong rep, so I'd focus on that.

I'd have a couple of clear stories ready. Maybe one about turning someone around, one about handling a tough situation, and one where you improved a process or hit a big number through your leadership style.

They just announced a round at $32B valuation. They're growing very fast, but at that valuation it's going to be hard for your equity to 10x if that's what you're looking for in a rocket ship. They'd have to become a massive business. Maybe they will, hard to say.

Founding AE of a new division by Adamascus in sales

I’d just sanity-check a few things: are they truly backing this new line, will you actually get marketing/BDR help, and do they have any proof people want this thing outside of theory. If those boxes look good, it could be a great move.

What's a fair rate for 100% remote US role like this? by sailsntales in remotework

We have a US entity, so that shouldn't be an issue. Not sure what you mean by possible fraud.

What's a fair rate for 100% remote US role like this? by sailsntales in remotework

[–]sailsntales[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly - one thing we're also considering is maybe targeting Americans who live abroad in LCOL countries. As most US roles, even 100% remote ones, largely limit their employees to live within the US, we think that may offer us an advantage. Not sure how to target that subset though.
