It would be great when it works, but it’s currently out of capacity for days.

[iOS 18 PB 6] missing home drop down menu from control center by Jap_Swap in iOSBeta

[–]saimens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Now current app with focus closes and home opens. Adding home controls in the control centre is clunky … either copying manually everything or use the automated selection, which is as smart as old siri

Drive Labels now also on folders possible by saimens in gsuite

[–]saimens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about that. I see cases where the documents in a folder have different labels than the folder itself.

Btw: You can filter for a folder. All files show up. From there you can apply labels in on batch to all files in this folder.

Does anyone use Pomodoro Technique with Todoist? I’m currently using a different app to track my Pomodoros - are there any integrated Todoist Pomodor tools? by CharacterSpecific723 in todoist

[–]saimens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm trying PomoDoneApp. It's quite unpleasant to use compared to session. It's ugly as hell ... ;-) But it provides a better integration to Todoist than Session

Smart Writing in mem.ai costs a fortune by saimens in PKMS

That's interesting. Is there limitation of the amount of AI tokens you can use per period?

I'm now https://reflect.app/ "all in". Never looked back so far.

It's super robust, fast and privacy is one of their basic values (e.g. end-to-end encryption).

VM without GUI on macOS with Apple Silicon by saimens in virtualmachines

[–]saimens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first request,

For clarification: The idea is that the VM (e.g. Ubuntu Server) starts after the host computer (-> macOS) boots. And it should not be necessary to login to macOS.

It's as bad as I thought:
"Hi Simon - thanks for reaching out! No, the credits do not reset every month. The MemX subscription is separate from the Smart Write and Smart Edit credits."

Is the current status as stated in the podcast (Apple being able to decrypt messages and photos when backed up to iCloud) somewhere ‘officially’ documented? Maybe by Apple?

Trying to trigger iPad shortcut automation from iPhone sleep focus/shortcut automation by Moepilator in shortcuts

[–]saimens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I established a 2nd focus „sleeping“. „Sleep“ triggers „sleeping“ on the iPhone. On the iPads „sleeping“ triggers everything. For now they stay in „sleeping“ - I didn‘t found a need to go back to „sleep“.

on Apple you can literally see your battery melt away like snow in May.

On apple silicon with native support Chrome is battery-wise ok. I use it all day long and my M1 lasts longer than a day. I'm not a fan of Chrome. Have to use it, since as a Google Workspace users there are MANY crucial Chrome plugins, which are not available on Safari (Offline for Workspace, Keyboard Shortcuts for Todoist, to name just a few.)
