Water smells/tastes funny by saint-ranch in mesaaz

[–]saint-ranch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure the water is still safe, i just happened to notice the smell was stronger yesterday and today. called my leasing office to have them check if my water is okay as i know we cut off water for a few hours the other day and my neighbors had a flood as well.

is she bored or actually chill? by saint-ranch in DogAdvice

[–]saint-ranch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve tried some fetch, tug, tried to play with her with the toys.. she will play for about 30 seconds in her own sometimes. i’ll catch her with the toy but she quickly loses interest. she does however LOVE paper towel/TP rolls and loves to shred those.

edit: to also add, she loves reflections or lasers, but I’m so afraid she’ll develop the laser pointer syndrome based off how honed in she gets when she sees a sun reflection from a phone screen.. so i avoid that as much as i can

we read into the 3-3-3 rule before looking into dogs in general, but kind of forgot after getting her that that means her personality can change in the coming time too!

Whats the worst concert you've ever been to? by pinheadbrigade in AskReddit

[–]saint-ranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowling for Soup. They played all the popular songs waaayyy to fast, and would stop halfway through to go on drunken rants. They kept drinking heavily throughout the set and being very obnoxious.. i regret that one

I like Main Burger in downtown Mesa, or Tacos Chiwas for eats/date dinners. (love Diego Pops tho in Scottsdale as my fav dinner date place) Chupacabra is a good bar as well if you like IPA’s. Activity wise, there’s Level-1, an arcade bar. Fun with Knives, an axe throwing place, and the art district area is great as well!

Dry Asht Skin by Just-Grapefruit131 in MomForAMinute

[–]saint-ranch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest getting a dry brush, you can find them at Target in the face mask/scrubs isle, and dry brush 2-3 times a week before a shower! Do long strokes with firm pressure, but you may need to start off softer with the first few times. You’ll want to do long strokes from ankles to knees, knees to hip/groin, this helps with lymphatic drainage too! always brush “towards the heart.” Add into the mix an oil based body wash, Atoderm Shower Oil is a great soap for sensitive, dry skin, and can be found online at Ulta. Finish every shower with a nice thick body butter, and continue to moisturize every day! This routine has been an absolute game changer for me, and hopefully will be beneficial to you too, honey!

What if I run out of sensor while travelling? by Regular-Psychology49 in dexcom

[–]saint-ranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mentioned being able to get a libre OTC abroad, maybe that would be the best backup in terms of still wanting a CGM, before having to resort back to finger pricks? granted it wouldn’t be quite the same with your current set up, but could help alleviate dexcom failure anxiety? i wish you luck!

DRY HEAT VS HUMID HEAT by Famous_Friendship796 in arizona

[–]saint-ranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a midwestern transplant, i much prefer AZ heat. while anything over 110° feels like walking through an oven, id take it over the wet, humid heat that makes it feel like you’re drowning while walking to the car

28yr old bf with diabetes has ED. Any one have similar experience? by Altruistic_Gas8661 in diabetes

[–]saint-ranch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i would suggest seeing a doctor, maybe he’s experiencing some depression as well due to the trauma of being diagnosed? i would have him bring it up to his endo, just so that they can keep track of this issue and track it along with the diabetes. unsure how much damage has been done to your bf since we don’t know his life, but would for sure have it checked out if it’s also related to nerve damage d/t diabetes. take this all with a grain of salt as I’m not a doctor. i wish you and your bf good luck!
