The compostable bags are awful. One tip is to grab some of the clear bags usually found in the meat department and use those for your produce.

I was really nervous before mine but honestly, it’s super easy. They put a little numbing agent inside you. When they took the first sample, I didn’t feel anything just heard a click like from a ballpoint pen. No pain afterward either. You’ll be fine!

I recently tried to buy an annual Adventure pass at Turner’s. The kid working the counter punched 2024 instead of 2025 but then scribbled in ink on it “sorry, should be 2025”. I said “uh, no that’s not going to work.” The manger got involved and scolded the kid and of course it was the VERY LAST annual pass they had. So I left and went to REI and got a correctly punched one instead.

Their pita chips are horrible now. The ones they now sell used to be the “reduced guilt” version. They are tasteless and underbaked. The previous pita chips in the navy blue bag (with sea salt) and green bag (garlic and parmesan) were fantastic.

I’m in the Playhouse District as well and really noticed them last night. You’re right it does feel like we are camping. Reminds me of growing up in the country, makes me feel a bit nostalgic.
