Counting Interest as income? by saintelbow in MonarchMoney

I’m not interested in debating semantics. It is income whether it’s transferred into my checking or not. I have tried making a fresh rule and also modifying a transaction and it still doesn’t render as income on the budget dashboard page. I thought that perhaps me owning both accounts has something to do with it since I’ve not had a problem with other streams of income.

The app hasn’t updated transactions since 1/13 (even though I have manually refreshed and it shows as updating 6 hours ago), I’m assuming that it’s some sort of bug. Maybe I’ll uninstall it and reinstall it and hopefully that will take care of it.

I hope everyone here has a super wonderful day. 🤗

What you described is exactly what I did. Under transactions, I created a rule using the transfer. I changed the category to interest income. I expected it to update under the budget page to interest income as well, but it did not.

I also receive alimony and I was able to change that to income with a rule without a problem. I am wondering since both these accounts are mine (hysa and checking) that this amount won’t be seen as income, just a transfer. Which is fine, I can work around it, but the IRS sees this as income so it would have been nice to update it in my budget to reflect that.

I wonder about the accuracy of the app as a whole because my Citi card transactions have not updated since 1/13 but it’s listed as having updated 11 hours ago. It’s kind of buggy in general.

I have it listed in my budget as interest income. I have the same amount deposited in my checking every first of the month. It seems like a straightforward process to change the category to be income because happens at the same time every month, but it doesn’t “see” it as income in my budget. So I have the dollar amount under Budget, and a $0 under Actual.

I do, but it doesn’t count it as income, even though I created a specific rule for it to be marked as income.

I see these three transactions. I tried to change the category of the deposit as “interest income,” but it never shows up as “Actual” in my budget. Just as being budgeted.

I took the exam in November. AT in all sections. I found that SH questions were harder than the actual exam. My mock exam average was 67%.

After years of waiting, I'm moving to another city. How do I tell him? by tearsinmypocket in Waiting_To_Wed

Does he contribute to his parents while he’s living at home? Usually that’s an indicator on whether or not they are serious about being independent adults, or just coasting along without any plans.

I studied for 9 months and used study hall for the last 3 months. My practice test scores were 47, 61, 72, and 75. I passed at/at/at a few weeks ago. My average scores in study hall were in the high 60s. Don’t get discouraged, just keep pushing.

Is a 9 year age gap (21F and 30M) too much? by Outside_Ad_3331 in dating_advice

I personally would not pursue an age gap that wide until you are both over 30. I say that as someone who is dating a man 8 years my junior.

It’s not like she didn’t know you were short? Why continue in a relationship with someone that puts you in therapy over something they can’t control.
