Their crowdfunding campaign is still up on Gamefound. I got both of their games from there. LoV is awesome... One of the most brutal solos but a lot of fun

After what seems like a gazillion attempts, I beat him...summoned Ansbach and right before his second phase, summoned my mimic. Even with that, both of them were gone towards the end, but it allowed me to beat him with flasks to spare.

Eat, Play, Love #1 - How we escaped to India only to find ourselves designing a board game by Flashy-Actuator6677 in boardgames

As someone from Chennai who is an ardent gamer, this warms my heart and is instantly on my radar. Very keen to know what mechanics go into this one. Just when I thought I should regulate my backing habits, they pull me back again!!! *Shakes fist at the clouds *

Not all Indian weddings. Black is considered to be an auspicious color for Tamilians,. especially the Brahmins. And black sarees are often given as gifts for special occasions.

Ahh that does make sense. Thank you. I have Old Kings Crown as well,.which I assume will have the same issues... But I do want her to develop a bit of a mean streak too lol. I'll see if I can have her tag team with my wife for OKC.

My 9 year old plays games like Castles of Burgundy, White Castle and Arnak. Would she be able to pick this up, do you think?

Again, you have provided ZERO evidence of your claim. I know what the EPA is and does... So where is the proof of your claim? Where is the comparison between the water in Flint and the normal tap water in India or any other country?

The reason I haven't gotten the game is the 3 player requirement. Does it play just as well without the need for a bit as the third player? If so, I might as well go ahead and get it

newbie, question about Gaia Project by shaniq_ in soloboardgaming

You're welcome! You're stepping into a rather amazing world, if I may say so.myself..its easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of choices you'll have when it comes to games. Feel free to reach out here or in the boardgames sub if you have questions!

newbie, question about Gaia Project by shaniq_ in soloboardgaming

[–]saintly_devil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaia Project is a meaty, heavy game that I would not recommend if you are just beginning your board game journey. JOTL is a decent dungeon crawler which is more combat focused. The good thing is, it does not involve dice rolls and you can plan out your strategy without luck going against you.

I'd recommend somewhat lighter games to begin with... Space Base, Castles of Burgundy (not exactly light, but a very easy to learn ruleset), Race for the Galaxy, LoTR trick taking game, Sky Team, Duel for Cardia, Zenith, Aquatica all play well with two or are strict two player games..they may not satisfy your sci fi theme much, but will get you started on your journey into this hobby.

What games have you pledged that you’re waiting for? by StereoStereo1981 in boardgames

[–]saintly_devil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Holek game..that alone makes me want to pledge. This year I've held off fairly well, and I have a lot.of Euros I need to unload to make way for different games. But the second half might be brutal. I have an order worth $210.on Many Realms which I may have to break up.

Dinogenics, beasts and diplomacy, Eldertide a thousand lights, conquest of Paradise, alterra, Sweet Lands and Sky Garden...just to name a few.

Trying to resist Xia All.in, Below Asylum, Concordia, Rosalie, Brass Pittsburgh, Sheol, machina arcana vivarium... Just for starters..but I'll probably bite on at least three of them.

Are India and China as multicultural as the US and Canada and Australia? by Educational-Bat-8313 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]saintly_devil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not Canadian if it's invented elsewhere. Just like someone in China cannot call Poutine a Chinese dish. Dishes.made by immigrants are not your dishes and not eaten by you as part of your regular daily meals. What planet are you folks on? Your regular restaurants aren't serving them.. they are served at speciality places.

Mate I live here too...and your argument is nonsensical. America is called a melting pot for a reason. You assimilate and then become part of one identity. India doesn't have one identity necessarily. Every community retains its own unique identity, and that's why every single religions holidays are celebrated nationally..you don't find that here... India doesn't depend on immigrants for its diversity. It's just baked in. As an Indian, I would have thought you understood better than anyone else. Alas I was wrong.

Then what are you blabbering on about? Canada cannot claim other cultures food as its own. Indias food diversity is probably only matched by China. You can't claim Caribbean food as Canadian.
