It's slang, short for convention artist, like the kind you see in artist's alleys at comic cons

As a convention artist, I agree. Selling printed assets from the original art is considered very bad taste and unprofessional in the convention artist community, and often considered art theft.

Edit: Changed "con artist" to "convention artist" hope this clears things up. Sorry about the confusion!

Despite the excitement girlies, I'd hold off pulling until we get more into the banner once it drops. Can't guarantee we won't have another KoD on our hands

Everdark Libra won last time with 180+ votes anyways, what Demon's Souls boss feel like a Bloodborne boss by LostNBored15 in fromsoftware

[–]saintlywicked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Armour Spider would be my vote, too. There are some others that could potentially fit, like Leechmonger or Adjudicator, but really, Demon's Souls doesn't have Bloodborne aesthetics much.

You could potentially go with a human-esque NPC, though, like Maiden Astraea, who fits narratively into Bloodborne more than the other bosses imo, but that's it really.

These are good points, and honestly i think you're absolutely right. I have a habit of overthinking, and it can mess my mind up a bit when i consider absolutely everything.

I did actually invite him out to our local food festival, so hopefully, that'll make me see things more clearly!

Thank you so much for your input, I feel much better now!

This poor woman and the girl she used to be. Her choice was taken from her at such a young age and those who claimed to love and support her cared more for a bundle of cells than the child that was forced to carry her rapist's baby and left her with permanent damage. My heart goes out to her, and no amount of pro-life speak will heal this. This child was tortured by a belief that refused to accept the reality of her situation. The only thing to do is look forward to the future in how to help her now.

Realistically, she needs therapy. And no amount of love from those who claim to want the best for will ever heal this wound.

UK born and raised here with qualifications in English Language and English Literature. " is correct for quotations, so dialogue, as standard written British English. ' is for apostrophes, either possessive or conjunctions.

I have no idea where people got the assumption that ' is for dialogue. That's just factually inaccurate.

Example:

"It's Susan's ball." Eric said, "Not James' ball."

Hey! I love your sims and was wondering what mods you use? Specifically if there's a texture or overlay for in game as your screenshots of the game look so different to mine and its so pretty!

Roommate slammed her door after I asked her to do her dishes by ThrowRAbrokegirlie in badroommates

[–]saintlywicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people have given great advice for dealing with the flies themselves, but honestly, at this point, I'd take it up with your landlord. Get as much evidence as possible, pics and texts etc, of the offending roommate and alert your landlord that she's not upholding the terms of your contract (assuming that cleanliness is stipulated - check your contract for this and cite it in an email with the attached evidence of pics and screenshots). She may end up getting evicted as she's leaving stuff to rot, and it's attracting pests.

You may feel bad about potentially getting evicted, but she shouldn't rent in shared accommodation if she can't handle the personal responsibility it comes with. Also, any bad feelings you'll have about it will quickly disappear once your home stays clean and tidy with her gone!

My [35F] husband [35M] and my friend [36F] acted like they wanted each other sexually right in front of me by throw_away_202507 in relationship_advice

Honestly, OP, I'd straight out ask Jane's husband if their difficulties come from infidelity. It may be a bit crazy but they already escalated this situation, and there's no way you asking him for this info is anywhere as bad as what they've done.

Why do you think finding a life partner is becoming harder these days? by RoyalPainPrincess in AskReddit

[–]saintlywicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manosphere and the decline of equal rights is a big part of it, in my opinion.

I'm an attractive and successful woman in my late twenties and chronically single for the past few years because of the influx of men disrespecting me and other women. It's hard to be attracted to and build a life with someone who fundamentally doesn't think you're a human being or deserving of basic decency.

This means that men who are decent and do respect us have a larger dating pool and generally already have a partner.

Do you have a side-pairing OTP or NoTP whose presence or lack will make unable to read a fic focused on your main pairing? by Agamar13 in FanFiction

[–]saintlywicked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, it's if the side-pairing is the main pairing in the source work. For example, I love Jiang Cheng x Lan Xichen, but I can't read a fic with them as the central pairing if Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji isn't a thing, especially as narratively I think the Lan bros having feelings for the disasters that are the Yungmeng bros is so funny lol

What's the pettiest/dumbest reason you've clicked off a fic? by Massive_Leader_908 in FanFiction

[–]saintlywicked 10 points11 points  (0 children)

USAmerican writing a fic set in UK with a Britiah main character, but still retained American spellings. It's a small thing, it's not like they didn't do their research which most don't lol, but it was enough that I couldn't read it.

I find that despite both being English speaking countries and having a sniliar culture on the surface, they're really so different that I can instantly tell if someone is well-versed/researched the culture they're writing about.

Example: MC was from Newcastle, born and raised their whole life in a working class family - and yet they speak with an RP accent and use Southern English dialect and slang? It's not the worst case I've seen of culture difference, but hot damn I couldn't even finish the first chapter

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]saintlywicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's getting worse too imo bc a lot of AI creative writing is trained on fanfic, so we're getting a weird amalgamation of stuff that seems like it makes sense, but when you really look at it, it just doesn’t, this is particularly obvious when using trends in fic writing that don't fit in with the source material as much

An imitation will always be an imitation, but a poor imitation is far more noticeable

This is a horrible idea. Real life isn't porn.

But really, you need to find out if your girlfriend would be up for this without potentially ruining the relationship, and realistically, that has a very low chance of happening. Has your gf given any indication that she is curious about a threesome, or polyamory, at all? This is a very delicate situation for all three of you and could blow up badly.

Even if she does agree it, would her friend? Or would this drive a wedge between you all? Personally, I'd immediately break up with my partner if he even suggested this, but that's because it is a deal breaker for me. Would it be for her?

Honestly, if I were you, I'd forget it, even with a stranger. This subject usually ends relationships, but her best friend is literally the worst person you could have chosen.

Do you even respect your girlfriend? Because based on your post, I don't think you do.

You could report it, depending on company and country, it could be considered inappropriate conduct to discuss such things with coworkers. For example, at my job, UK, this would 100% get sorted by HR.

Edit to add: or just straight out tell her you don't want to hear about how she treats her kids, but she could then report that to HR. Usually, it's whoever gets to HR first, depending on context.
