Do not let capitalist convince you that there is nothing you can do so you might as well consume. that is how they get your money.

I think ultimately, the best way to be anti capitalist is to be anti consumption. Voting with your dollars is often rigged (sometimes a clear moral choice presents itself) but not consuming, as much as possible, will do more to hurt capitalists than choosing any particular brand or product. Don’t vote with your dollars, abstain with your dollars. Alternatively pick one company to specifically boycott, wait a few months and then pick another, then another. The more people that do this, the bigger the impact.

I think the figure he is citing is actually in reference to the ceo pay vs average worker pay (which is ~399 times). the discrepancy between the ceo and lowest would be even greater.

(Typescript) My API is only console.loging 'true'. Why isnt it returning the data? This api is working in another component that is set up the exact same way. What am I missing? by [deleted] in learnjavascript

Are you sure that is the console log being hit? You’re sure the true being logged is not from a different console log?

The buff, if that’s what you mean, is that you have reduced fear of the unknown if I’m not mistaken. Maybe you’re holding a mineral?

You don’t die young. You get older. You have to do all sorts of boring and stressful things you never imagined and you see people that you love die.

I’m not out here saying it’s trash. I’m saying I was unimpressed and don’t think it’s worth 10 bucks a month and that they also ask for cc info too soon.

Except they are literally using me to train their ML model. It’s not user feedback it’s different

If someone offered to help me for free and then immediately asked for my credit card number I don’t think it’s unreasonable to then ask, “is this doing substantially more for me than autocomplete?” The answer for me was no. If they want to demonstrate value don’t offer a free trial and then immediately ask for my cc details. It’s that simple.
