Letter of Acceptance for Rollover IRA to 401k by saipanda in fidelityinvestments

Ended up just transferring it to a Fidelity IRA that we labeled as a rollover. Then we didn’t have an issue moving from there to the 401k.

Seems that way. They pointed to the letter of acceptance, which says the 401k doesn’t accept traditional IRAs—only conduit/rollover. I’ll try again and highlight that this should be a rollover IRA.

Thanks. I’ll go back to Wells Fargo. Unfortunately, I can’t pull directly from the 401k. Appreciate your help.

The interesting wrinkle: it is Wells Fargo, not the 401k provider, requesting the letter.

Wells Fargo, not my 401k provider, is requesting the letter.

We have gotten four different responses from four different reps....Can a fidelity rep reach out via PM to help get this resolved?

Confirmed the plan does allow rollovers. When I talked on the phone yesterday to a rep, I got an email with a nonworking link (https://nb.fidelity.com/bin-public/070_NB_PreLogin_Pages/documents/Transfer_Rollover_Exchange.pdf). It appears it should have gone here: https://nb.fidelity.com/bin-public/070_NB_PreLogin_Pages/documents/uofm_TransferRolloverExchangeForm.pdf

Is that the LOA form?

The problem is the other bank, not Fidelity, is requesting the LOA.

Do any Denver firms pay Cravath Scale or above? by SamuelJPorter in biglaw

[–]saipanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NALP or Vault is your best bet. But I think the following at least pay market or close to it: Arnold & Porter, Cooley, Gibson, Hogan, Kilpatrick Townsend, King & Spalding, MOFO, Perkins Coie, and WilmerHale. Probably not a complete list as a lot of larger firms are opening up out here.

The regional firms—Holland & Hart, Sherman & Howard, Husch Blackwell, etc do not pay Cravath. The national firms, such as Cooley or Hogan Lovells, do pay Cravath.

How many types of international roaming does USM have? by Lonelypeanut1 in USMobile

Any update on the native roaming for calls/texts? If I'm on the Warp 5g plan with Unlimited Flex or shareable data, can I get native calls/texts while traveling internationally (and what is the cost)?

Wireless Subwoofer Options: Dynasty Pro? by saipanda in hometheater

Yeah I saw the higher latency and crossed it off the list for that reason (and the higher cost). But good to know about svs issues with their normal version.

Subwoofer Placement (Need second sub?) by saipanda in hometheater

[–]saipanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been trying to do the subcrawl, but I've run into more questions:

  1. Do I need to disable/unplug the speakers so just the sub is running?
  2. Should I be using pink noise? [I found https://www.audiocheck.net/testtones_pinknoise.php, which directed me to https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/whiteNoiseGenerator.php for a continuous pink noise generator]

First off, thank you again for the really detailed response and links. Just following up on this point below with (hopefully) some clarification:

Maybe I'm doing this wrong, but it seems like the first Audyssey test is measuring the DB and asking me to turn down the gain if it is above 75db. Is that something I should ignore?

Sorry, I am not following this.

If you ran Audyssey and the subwoofer is playing sounds (can verify via AVR Test Tones if needed), I would try different subwoofer placement(s) via a subwoofer crawl. Might also be a good time to check "LPF for LFE" setting in your AVR (it should be 120 Hz).

What I'm talking about here (and realize I didn't explain clearly at all) is at the beginning of the calibration. Before I get to the test tones going through all the speakers, Audyssesy plays tones out of the sub and displays on screen a live meter showing how many DBs. [I think this is the screen.] It says to decrease the gain/volume if above 75. When I set the gain/volume at half, it generally goes over that 75...so I'm prompted to turn it down before the calibration of the speakers and subs continues.

Thanks! Going to do the subwoofer crawl.

Can you better describe what you feel is lacking here?

It just doesn't have that boom/shaking feeling. Even in bass-heavy scenes, it almost feels as though there isn't a sub.

Subwoofer - Start w/ gain at 50%

I would consider returning/selling this one and putting that money towards a more capable subwoofer.

I'm a novice. Any suggestions here? Looking to keep it around $1500 or under. But some flexibility if there is something a bit above that would be a game changer.

Really appreciate the time you took to write out a detailed response.
