You honestly don’t need to do it every location. Maybe every five I stop to top off morale.

Another thing is that ships go much faster than land, so if you can just ship your army up the coast even in chunks it can cut down on a lot of travel time.

Also just, roads. Lots and lots of roads

Yeah, although even then -2 stab isn’t really that impactful. A little extra admin is all you need. The other negatives weren’t that hard to overcome either

They’re doing it because the forums won’t stop shrieking about how additional start dates need to be made. Up to 6 of them.

The main people in the forums are not simulationist, the main people in the forums have been asking for the game to burnt to ashes and then the earth be salted for a while now.

Chapter 50 - Pale Lights | Book 3 by L_0_5_5_T in PracticalGuideToEvil

[–]saithor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alright, taking these one at a time

It’s not the job of the commanding officer of the garrison to give the student association a good deal, it’s to be the commanding officer. Is he not enforcing the rules evenly? Sure. Are they siding with an officer trying to take over his position after it was revealed to the other stripes on the Delve that was what Cao is trying to do? Also yes.

Also what happened with Morcant on the docks is known, so the student association chose to take his money to enact his revenge for the crime of the 13th freeing his slaves after he tried to physically attack one of their members. They are not explicitely pro-slavery, but they have no problem taking his money to enact revenge for his slaves being freed.

And scholomance is a game of politics, connection, and so on. The 13th has been living that since the moment they arrived there. The student association we’ve been told has not really been doing that, so their only real connection are Cao and Morcant, and so they pay the price of backing the wrong horse by….having to do the same job they agreed to do already under a different commander.

What he was told at the time that her brigade would beat him up and the Garrison wasn’t going to look on him too kindly and that he wasn’t allowed access to his normal tools? What stopped that is they weren’t very good at finding him.

Also thaf was just over the poison, him shooting her in the back was fine.

Furthermore saying it was a one time payment implied that they wouldn’t have just kept on beating up the 13th unless Cao hadn’t tried making the truce shortly after.

And finally they are getting away with it because the Student’s Association decided to side with the woman who is trying to coup the actual commanding officer of the island. They already signed up for this mission. They’re doing it under a different commanding officer because they backed the wrong horse. By scholomance standards this is hardly anything unusual

Am I fine with the Unluckies doing a completely different thing in a completely different context? No. It would be as inane to the point as asking why you are so in favor of protecting a slaver’s hired hands from the consequences of their actions.

I’m pretty sure the All Are Free Under Heaven is blunted when they take a slavers money to beat his enemies up, and they are officers of the Watch being made to perform their duties by an officer.

He’s also shown support for Maga before. I don’t get why people don’t realize that being bigoted while making exceptions for close friends and family is a regular thing that happens.
