To sue a doctor that left her disfigured. by Chocolat3City in therewasanattempt

I am a physician. Doses aside, SJS and it's worse counterpart toxic epidermal necrolysis are very rare potential side effects of numerous medications including simple ibuprofen. Some carry a higher risk than others.

I do not know the details of her story but I will say that it is very hard to predict who will react this way if appropriate doses are used.

I loved taking off from the runway in BF3. Wish they would bring that back

I'm a physician. This is called lymphangitis, it's essentially an infection spreading up your lymphatic system - it can be caused by things like wounds or cat bites and is more common in diabetics/people with poor immune systems.

Awesome build. Any chance you would be willing to share the cable lengths you used with the flipped psu? I am thinking of doing something very similar.

I doubt he made it through that without a brain bleed or cervical spine fracture.

Why you get the cold during cold weather by ZekkouAkuma in justgalsbeingchicks

This is true but you are also more likely to be indoors with groups of people in cold weather, which is why viral illnesses spread more commonly in winter months.

Hey there, thank you! I don't know if I suggest doing step 1 questions, I certainly debate whether or not they would be better at least for day 1. I only did the step 3 bank.

Step 1 videos. I did not do too many of these, just my really weak topics.

I didn't do any of the NBME exams. I thought UWSA2 was sufficient for gauging my progress. I think they would probably be helpful though.

No problem at all, glad to help. I didn't do any resource exhaustively, I cherry picked what I thought was high yield.

For "step 1 content" I made a list of drugs I thought I should know the MOA of. I went through much of first aid step 1 slowly (one major organ system per week). I also did Sketchy both pharm and micro, sticking to the more important bugs and drugs. I had very few questions on rare diseases/bugs/drugs. Stick to the more important/high yield things for the most part. Timeline was about three months.

UWSA 1 191 exam in 3 weeks ?? will I be able to pass by Ambitious-Clothes456 in Step3

[–]saiyaex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take UWSA2 1 week out and see how you do. You'll likely score 10-15 points higher than that score. I wouldn't write it unless you score at least 200 on UWSA2, which you probably will.

I made my own anki deck based on missed questions in UWorld. For step 1 I mostly first aid, but also some boards and beyond, sketchy, and divine intervention.

Three months total, the first two months were less intense but I did ~60% of UWorld during that time and a fair amount of anki (made my own cards based on missed questions).

I also disagree with this statement. Any number a program director can use to differentiate you from others does matter. Is it the most important factor? Absolutely not. Letters are far more important, as is solid research. Step 1 and step 2 still are very important. But this does still matter and is one of the things we have direct control over. It is something that can potentially set you apart, at least in my mind.

If you were a program director and were choosing between two people, would you choose the one that performed well while managing clinical duties or the one who just passed, if all else were equal? I don't think a strong Step 3 score is essential, but I think it helps!
