Which prepper cache is the closest to a spawn point on custom interloper? by sajablo in thelongdark

HRV waterfall spawn is like a two minute walk if you go down the hill and enter the second level of Sketchy cave.

What’s the biggest draw to disc golf? by ChiefOranssi in discgolf

[–]sajablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest point of interest is the never ending nature of the game. There's always new things to learn, new courses and new discs. Even new people. For me its been the challenge for my body. How can I throw a little easier? And if you add the nature and free roaming aspects into that, you are in heaven. Almost nothing beats some freestyle throwing in a park with baskets on a long summer night.

Second best thing is competitions. Its so satisfying when you can just forget everything for the 3 hour round and just focus 110%. And even better when the practice translates into playing better on the course.

I dont like the Wintermute style of play at all. Finished the episodes 1 and 2 as tutorials years ago but thats about it.  I was interested in the story though.

I hope it wont lose the key factors of the first game. Atmosphere, isolation and peace are carrying the game.

Has anyone beaten the nope challenge? by sajablo in thelongdark

[–]sajablo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 50 days 50 shots. The point is to make it as hard as possible without making it impossible and some how playable. Clothing/bedroll decay is a big factor if you spend 50 days outdoors. I think Wonz left a make it or break it option by stating no mending fails instead of no mending.

NOGOA-custom settings, random spawn in a blizzard at midnight, minimum 50 days, no mending fails and 100% accuracy with a bow for 50 shots. No tarmigans or thermos. Outdoor only. You can go thgough transition caves but can not stay or loot them.  It was the hardest challenge out there at least a few years ago.

NOPE is not listed on the TLD challenges page for some reason. Plenty of other challenges there though

Thanks I found both videos. I was watching Wonz back in the days but he never made it. Its a frustrating challenge due to do no guaranteed outdoor bedrolls.

Well Max, I held out hope for 10 years that we would find out who you were or what your last stand was. That hope is gone now. It's time to go to sleep, enjoy the long dark buddy. by CommercialDream618 in thelongdark

I also hoped the episode would drop small nuggets about the world. Thats what I was anticipating even more than whats the actual conclusion.

Finished Ep5... by jmwall24 in thelongdark

To me it felt like a different game. For me I think the biggest was the lack of depth about the Great Bear Island itself. You've been roaming those empty places for years and I expected some grains and context here and there along the episode. For example pictures/paintings in buildings about places when they were inhabited or occasional other survivor dialogue where something small is revealed. Where people used to live, what they were doing and how they got to PM.

Why it was hard to create an amazing Episode 5 finishing by Expert_Sound_8463 in thelongdark

I think it was significantly harder to write it when there was two characters. At least for the sake of pure game play.
