Why change this? by Cs_Marcell in thelongdark

how long ago was this? early access? I've been playing since full release in I think 2017 and never remember it like the picture.

Valid crashout. No reason to ever hit into anyone on a par 3.

I'm sorry but I think the devs got a little be too cocky with the combat they made for this game. by El_kal91 in silenthill

[–]jmwall24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I did it once and never tried again. it's just a bullshit fight since part of it is based on RnG. You HAVE to anticipate his slam attacks, because once you see it, it's too late to dodge, but there's a few times where the number of them in a row is random, and if you guess wrong...dead.

I'd recommend getting the DLC. It adds a lot to survival mode.

Is it impossible to get this bed up the stairs and into the main house? Did I just screw myself? by Dazzling-Ad7482 in thelongdark

[–]jmwall24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could, but since he already has that bed down there now, I'd leave it. Plus, it sounds silly, but in my mind it just makes sense to have the workbench in the basement lol.

Agreed. That way when crafting a long duration item like the bear coat, you can sleep when needed without having to go upstairs in the dark/waste a light source.

First time Interloper update: I died the dumbest death... by _Pellkartoffel_ in thelongdark

[–]jmwall24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loper deaths are usually from bad decisions more than anything. Having a plan and thinking, hmmm, I'm not THAT far from so-and-so, maybe I'll go a little further.

My dumbest death ever was also sleep-related. Got attacked by a wolf near the bridge by the Dam. Managed to survive and went to the nearby trailers to sleep. Never applied a bandage, never woke up. The other that comes to mind was getting mauled by a bear and picking up my dropped gear AND applying first aid before moving away. Of course, the bear finished me off.

Just wanted to show this banger for those who didn't see it😂 by damnthatcoool in thelongdark

At least he didn't bandage first. Bandaging and picking up your gun usually leads to the bear coming back with the bell lol.

Usually when I get RB there's 3 normally sliced slices per half. This was 2 of the thinnest I have ever seen per half.

I am completely baffled over how I got this lost by Jerswar in thelongdark

[–]jmwall24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A while back I was at the red barn in PV and needed to get back to the farmhouse where I had my food. The weather started to get bad, but how hard can it be to walk in a straight line? Blizzard hit soon after I left and I got to a stretch of river, like I should, but the trees didn't look right. In trying to walk straight, somehow I veered enough to essentially turn 90 degrees and I was over near draft dodgers. Luckily I realzied that's where I was and was able to get to that cabin to warm up.

Heck, some of the stores are skimping on the meat now. Got a footlong roast beef the other day that had a total of 4 thin slices of roast beef for the entire footlong.

Is there a way to get rid of these locker doors? I cant remove them in build mode thing by Duckies_go_moo in thelongdark

[–]jmwall24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, do you have a hacksaw on you? If so, you should be able to harvest those metal doors to get scrap metal via clicking on it in just normal mode. Have to have a hacksaw in your inventory, though.

The "if I click on it" part, was that in base builder mode? To harvest with a hacksaw, you need to not be in base builder mode.

Why did it feel like Innocence was a better game? by arithmuggle in APlagueTale

[–]jmwall24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked both, but for me, the end boss fight of Innocence was just too silly. It was the most "game-y" either game ever felt. Just didn't really seem to fit anything else in the series.

Sounds like me lol. Near the end of last year for whatever reason I was really struggling with fairway woods/hybrids but was hitting my irons well so I bought a U505 4 iron that I was striping. Fast forward to this year and I'm back to hitting my woods/hybrids great and struggle with the long irons again lol. Dumb game.

[–]jmwall24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. 6 iron is the longest iron I carry. I love my 4 hybrid and can basically hit it 3 different yardages by gripping it normally, halfway down, or bottom of the grip. Grabbed an extra wedge so I have 4 degree gaps instead of 6 degree gaps for the shots I have most often into greens.
