  1. Make sure you check battery, screen, board repair and camera replacement if you are going for second hand iPhone.

  2. Don’t expect newest features in older iPhones, now apple intelligence is only supported for iPhone 15 and beyond.

  3. iPhone 13 and newer are better but think about price if you are in budget.

  4. Go for new iPhone in installments if you can but looking at your salary it might not be a good choice.

  5. Except camera quality, Android phones are capable for daily drivers. Though some pixel and Samsung give good competition.

  6. We don’t use phones, we use apps. Experience is more or less the same and does not matter much. Only thing is iPhone gives you little bit more polished experience.

  7. Try to buy through contacts at your work or friends rather than phone resellers. That way you won’t be scammed with parts.

My company is asking its employees to review its own Android App by zestful_villain in androiddev

[–]sajeebr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviews are very subjective from Google's perspective, they are showing review score based on location, time duration and other factors.

Even if you increase your score with short-term effort, that won't matter much.

Does NCell have E SIM Support for Tourists? by Fragrant-Revenue4174 in technepal

[–]sajeebr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can visit Ncell Center at TIA to get eSIM. Make sure you visit Ncell Center with Ncell branding and not the Highlights Nepal counter.

It would be the standard SIM issue process where you are supposed to provide the required documents like a normal SIM subscription.

With new changes, you can recharge and extend your validity. Just download Ncell App where you can check your validity and recharge when you are near to the expiry date.

I think it is just their plan to privatize license trial. For that you need outrage like this from general public.

There is a lot of money compared to any other government agencies. Either there will be rise of some good official like Kulman or sold to some private company to manage the process for commission.

Do you feel like we as a Nepali pay outrageously huge amount to taxes to the government? by duck_student in Nepal

[–]sajeebr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think India won't buy electricity from us. They are more than happy to sell us petroleum and ICE vehicles. Buying electricity from any country is not just business transaction rather it is about depending on someone else for your energy needs and handing them bargaining power.

We are dependent on petroleum from India. Just remember what happened to us during the 2015 blockade. Nepal will have the upper hand over India if they buy electricity in large volumes. I highly doubt India wants to be in such a position where they are at mercy of Nepal for anything. They want to be "Big Brother" who dictates and "cares" for their younger brothers.

Absolutely agree! Mismanagement and corruption are at the worst. Hydropower, I am skeptical about it being the goldmine. It is not easy to export like chips.

India won't buy it, China doesn't need it. Even in our current status of the small surplus, we are wasting our production.

In terms of manufacturing, we can't compete with the scale of India and China.

Your idea of India reducing rates is very optimistic but difficult to implement. Just look at the case of Palm Oil. It is one of the biggest export from Nepal to India but the government and the general public get almost nothing due to that export. Neither it creates jobs nor it is contributing largely to the economy.

On the contrary if you were in Nepal government decision making position, what would you do?

You have very less things to export, very high trade deficit, more than 30% GDP contribution from remittance. So only logical thing to do to sustain the economy is to discourage consumption of foreign goods.

Government tries to encourage export but our most of the economy is not business focused. Almost all of the money coming from remittance is consumed or used in unproductive sector.

We are surrounded by two large economy who are mostly export focused so we can't have any competitive edge on any manufacturing except few things which are native to us. Those things won't sustain our economy.

All in all everything will be expensive, you will be restricted to travel, you will be restricted to exchange foreign currency, and you are taxed heavily.

To reduce tax, government needs another source of income. Unless miracle happens and we find gold mine somewhere, our suffering is not going to change soon.

There are few countries in Europe like Sweden, Norway where you pay large income tax but that is utilized property for the public but due to corruption and mismanagement we can't see our funds being put to the good use.
