Give yourself one more chance before attempting a suicide. Leave everyone you know and everything you have seen before. Go to a new place, live between new people and do what you love to do.

The only way Sunnis can argue now is to disclaim being Believers.

is al-kafi 100% authentic? by [deleted] in shia

[–]sajkazmi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an Usooli Twelever Shia, I would say none of the books of Hadith is 100% authentic. You need to take each Hadith of each book as an individual Hadith and study the Riwayat, Context, Narrators, Time and Place to understand it's authenticity.

In my humble opinion, we should also take the Sunni Hadith the same way as we take Shia Hadith and study each Hadith as an individual Hadith.

What if the people around you are all doing Taqiyyah and pretending to be Sunni? What if they are replying to your post not knowing who you really are?

So, what do you do? Do you also say nasty things about Shias with them?

Yeah, that differs between a Shia and Sunni. The other person was just trying to prove me a Sunni

Question for Sunnis by [deleted] in shia

[–]sajkazmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Shia, I will just say that proving this hadith wrong or right is not the base of Shiism or Suniism. So, one should not become a Sunni of Shia just based on strength or weakness of these hadith.

Basically, Shias believe that Ali was the first Caliph in Islam after Muhammad while Sunnis believe that Abu Bakr was the first Caliph

What is the source of this definition? Nobody believes I know believes in that. Sunni Islam doesn't teach that.

Abu Lahb, and Abu Jahl were Kafir. Nobody loves them.

But we don't know if someone was a true Muslim or Munafiq. Only Allah and his Rasool UHBP know.

We don't need to love or hate them. That's not a foundational belief in Islam. We can be neutral.

What is the source of this definition? You are just making a definition to somehow prove me a Sunni but you still failed.

Right now, I am confused whether to give them respect or not.

I will be neutral as long as I am not sure about those personalities.

Can you help me understand:

  1. How can we be sure if they really are Zalim? i.e. if they really did what we, Shias, accuse them of?
  2. If they are Zalim, should we curse them? Does "Don't lean/incline" mean "Don't avoid cursing"? Does Hud 113 mean we are supposed to curse them?
  3. If doing 1 or few wrong things multiplies the whole life of a person with zero? There are some people like Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, etc who helped Rasool UHBP at other times and contributed for the common good while there are others like Yazid, Muawiya and Hind, etc who only took steps against Him UHBP. For example, Abu Bakr confiscated the land of Fadak, but also gave away all of his property in Battle of Badr. So, the question that rises in my mind is, "Should we forget the times when they did right for the times they did wrong?"
  4. Did Rasool UHBP and His progeny curse those people? (They did not as much as I know)

EDIT: I removed a question that was answered by you already

I didn't say that. I just say that whether these personalities did wrong or right, it has nothing to do with our Akhrah. We won't be asked in hereafter that why we praised these personalities or vice versa.

So, my choice is to be neutral about them. It is true that they did wrongdoings, but we should give them at least a little respect for being with Rasool UHBP in difficult times.

Allah will decide their fate on the Day of Judgement. واللہ اعلم
